My dogs love these and they certainly help their teeth, but if you have a dog that's a chewer, they're really more of a treat than a chew because they'll be able to power through them in minutes. And they're a little pricey considering how quickly they're gone. The "Hartz Chew N' Clean Dental Duo Toy and Edible Dog Chew" (also on Amazon) works just as well and lasts for quite a bit longer.

She would eventually eat them if there was no other option, but becuase she didn't care for them, I won't be buying them again. There is nothing wrong with the product, my bunny just did't like them.

If you have a medium or bigger breed puppy they are, or will become, the ultimate chew machines. Keeping them busy chewing good things instead of bad things, like your shoes, is important. Mixing these chew hooves in with the rawhide and other chew toys keeps their interest up and prevents boredom. You can saw them in half for smaller pups and double your savings. Price these out at the pet store and you will be back here placing an order. I will repeat this order when I run out.

I have a giant-breed dog who's gone into a serious chewing phase in the last few months and I've been trying desperately to find something that will really stand up to her constant sawing. Bones last no time, neither do rawhides or Kong toys.. I remembered one of these from a pet store getting her attention a long time ago so decided a box full at a low price couldn't hurt. Throw one out here and there.. ONE has lasted over a week and a half and still isn't totally worn down. And it's really kept her attention, she hasn't been bored with it. I know every dog is different and others may not like them as much.. but for now this has worked fantastically for me.

Not to be total advertiser: They stink horribly. They make my dog's breath smell god-awful. There is that factor and I do worry some about her biting off pieces and swallowing them.. and like all bone-type things.. there are bits that get left behind on the floor that I miss when picking up that sound like vacuum assassins.. so watch out for that (obviously you don't want these if you have small children in the same area, not so much for the size, but sheer nastinessyes they're gross). But I find it all worth it. I recently bought the biggest femur bones I could find, thinking they'd outlast these things and leave them forgotten.. she turned one into dust in less than an hour. So.. back to these.

Great Dog Bison Pizzle (Bully Sticks)--5, 6" Pieces (Sourced & Made in USA)

Customer Ratings:
List Price: Price Unavailable
Sale Price: $27.99
Today's Bonus:

I have tried a bunch of bully sticks from different brands for my two dogs and this bully stick stinks the most.

It stinks so bad that my husband told me to throw them away and we had 4 left in the bag.

The only nice thing about these is they are quite thick so they do last a while for smaller dogs to chew on.

But I just can't get past the smell. Won't be purchasing these again!

UPDATED REVIEW

Carrie McCabe from Great Dog Co. contacted me via email and apologized for the smelly bully sticks and offered to send me a complimentary bag.

She was so sincere and made me feel like a very valued customer.

I received the bully sticks today and it doesn't stink at all. I'm very happy with the replaced product and my dogs love them too.

I will definitely be purchasing more treats from Great Dog Co. I just want to thank Carrie for reaching out to me and being so helpful.

Update on my previous review: "The package arrived and they were covered in a layer of stringy white film (looks to be mold). It is definitely nothing I would feel comfortable with giving to my dogs that is for sure." Great Dog, Inc. got back to me immediatly, were very nice and helpful, are looking into the problem and are sending me a replacement. I am very happy with their care regarding their customers.

Once I recieved a replacement product my dogs and I could not have been happier. It is basically a giant piece of bison jerky so it really isn't something that keeps a larger size dog busy for too long (probably about 5-10 minutes), but my dogs certainly loved it and that is all that matters!

This is our first time trying Bully Sticks but we will return for more. Our dog Molly loves them. They are the perfect size for a special treat and I don't worry about her choking on them or getting too much fat as I have with rawhide products.

My two small dogs liked these. The taste was pleasant but I didn't mind the smell. They ate them all.

Want Great Dog Bison Pizzle (Bully Sticks)--5, 6" Pieces (Sourced & Made in USA) Discount?

It is obvious my dog thinks these are the best dog treat in the universe. She just loves them and she is a small dog (11 pounds) so each one will last for a few days. They are pricey so they fall into the "special treat" category and I just give them to her from time to time. I like the idea that they are completely digestible, not like some other rawhide type treats.

Purina Pro Plan Dry Puppy Food, Chicken and Rice Formula, 34-Pound Bag

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $55.99

We raise 2-3 litters of Belgian Malinois and Belgian Sheepdog puppies each year. Very small scale breeders of show dogs only. And we've tried a bunch of different puppy foods over the years. It is always a balancing act on price vs quality vs availability. After nearly 15 years of doing this, we have settled on this puppy food as our standard. Puppies do well on it, they eat it readily, and buyers of our pups can find it all across the country. Even more so now that Amazon is in the mix!

We start out putting it in a blender with goat's milk that we produce here on the farm. Start out blending it into mush. Then, as they get older, we blend it less and less. Until finally we are just mixing it with milk and serving. Goat's milk is the best!

I was told this was the food the breeder I purchased my pup from, was feeding him. He eats it eagerly and has had no issues with it. Although it is a 3 star food, I feel the fact that he eats it so well makes up for the fact that its not a higher rated food. Ive used many of the 5 star foods before and have always had trouble getting my Goldens to eat them. Goldens tend to have food and environmental allergies..On this food my Goldens have beautiful coats and no allergy issues. Im sticking with this one!

KONG Goodie Bone with Rope Dog Toy

Customer Ratings:

Sale Price: $8.54
Today's Bonus:

I know that dog toys don't last but I have a 28lb Beagle and he likes to chew I got him this for his first birthday and first the package on Amazon looks much bigger then it actually is to say it is a trinket is an understatement and it lasted about 1 hour before it was done. I dont recommend this but I highly recommend Kong products as they are very good but this was a disappointment.

First of all, if color matters to you, please go by the description not the picture. Yes, it is red and the rope is brown. Color doesn't seem to matter to our dog and he loves this toy. It is well made, although I will say that our dog is not an aggressive chewer, and I doubt that this would last long with a dog that is.

Buy KONG Goodie Bone with Rope Dog Toy Now

If you have a terrier, or a dog that loves to chew like crazy, move on this is not the toy for your dog. If you have an occasional chewer who isn't the type to rip the eyes out of a stuff animal, this is a great toy for your dog. The Kong Goodie Bone has a small flexible Kong bone threaded through a sturdy rope. My papillon likes to toss this toy around and to chew on the rope portion, although I haven't seen him chew on the bone itself at all. The toy is small (see the included "additional photos" I posted), and will very likely make your little dog very happy.

STRAIGHT ARROW PRODUCTS 544606 Medicated Shampoo for Horses, 32-Ounce

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $18.69
Sale Price: $16.97
Today's Bonus: 9% Off

I used/use this shampoo on my 2 golden doodles bathed once every 5-6 weeks. 1 doodle has patchy mild dry/itchy skin that even after baths still looked dirty, I began using this for that reason, however after 2 baths (10-12 weeks), her skin was completely pink as it should be and healthy and she no longer was an itching maniac. I used/use only the shampoo directly applying to skin and coat adding small amounts of water with the sprayer to massage it completely over my dogs entire body (avoiding getting into eyes), massaging for about 7 minutes then setting a timer for 10 minutes as the bottle directions state. Rinse thoroughly, towel dry then combing and grooming. It leaves the fur on my golden doodles conditioned, soft and manageable. They are groomed regularly therefore tangles and mats are not issues. This is a wonderful shampoo with conditioners and it does exactly as it states. I believe the cost for the amount of product is a great value in comparison to many more expensive products that do not offer the benefits of this shampoo. My dogs have shown no signs of discomfort in the entire year that I have been using this. I will continue to use it as the prevention of common bacterial ailments is important to my family as well (i.e. ring worm etc.). Shampoo is colorless, almost odorless, and not too thick that it makes for difficult massaging. Leaves my dogs smelling clean not "perfumey" , which they like better as well (they don't roll in smelly stuff like they did when I used the "perfumey" shampoos). Note; more severe cases of ailments may need to see a vet, however, directions state this is safe to use once a week until conditions improve. Hope this helps others.

ZiwiPeak Deer Shank Pet Bone Treat

Customer Ratings:
List Price: Price Unavailable
Sale Price: $7.99
Today's Bonus:

I'd give it 5 stars but I had this idea it would last our pup longer because she relished it and it didn't stink and it was a great size when she was 15 pounds. For the price, I was hoping it would last longer and be a little bigger I guess. She finished it off in about two hours. (I made her spread it over a few different sessions.) She remained interested in the bone for a few licking/chewing sessions, but then, once she had cleaned it off, she lost interest. So, for about 3 hours total, it was fantastic. I did watch her with it during all chew sessions because there was a large cartilige section she got loose and I didn't want her to swallow that. I'd order again in a second, particularly if they put several together for a bulk deal and sold them prime. Nice alternative to the bully sticks. Seems far more natural, too.

dogs loves them, chewed off the outer covering and knawed on the bone that was left. Hard to find a nice bone alternative when dog is allergic to beef.

My dogs love something to chew on so I bought this bone to see if they would enjoy this as much as they enjoy bully sticks. They are medium size dogs. Once they ate the skin covering the bone; and carried around awhile. They ignored it. I would not purchase this product again.

My lab loves these because they last more than fifteen minutes, which is impressive because the dog eats 3in. thick wood branchesdaily. I try to let him know this isn't the best idea, all I get is a slight narrowing of the eyes. These rolls are thicker than any other rawhide I've come across; they don't smell terribly for rawhide either. The rolls last several hoursyou can spread that across two days. Price is a plus as well, I got five for the price of three locally. Not bad 'tall.
