I love to use these since I am able to vary the qty to match the action. For patterned behaviors she gets one but for completion of new tricks she gets several. My puppy loves them, though the peanut butter ones or the sweet potato ones she likes better than these. But she still enjoys all the flavors.

My three large dogs loved these but there weren't very many in the package. I broke them in half to make them last because they were very expensive for what we got. Also, for some reason I was expecting a hard biscuit and these were soft. I am sticking with Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance Fruity Snacks with Cranberries and Oatmeal dog treats. They are less expensive and come in biscuit form.

I had been giving my dogs another brand of treats and had six friends who's dogs became ill from the other brand. One of my children has a dog that is allergic to everything and is a complete vegetarian! She turned me on to these and no more problems with my dogs throwing up or digesting them. Excellent product. They can be purchased less at Petsmart though.

I adopted a bichon last summer who recently turned 14. Obviously, he doesn't play often...usually sleeps and sticks close to me. We have been concerned about "dimentia" as he seems to forget who my husband is at times and started looking into some solutions or something to at least help. I am not sure where the previous reviewer got their information, but if you do actual research, on actual websites (some you have to subscribe to), Nature's Variety is a 5 star dog food INCLUDING the Instinct treats. This is why I feed NV food and treats to my purebread dog and cat. I would much rather feed my pet human grade food that is made as nature intended animals to eat...it's worth every extra penny I spend.

Here is an excerpt from Petsumerreport.com, which is one of the websites that gave this treat 5 stars: "Plus: The Nature's Variety representative told me the ingredients are human quality/grade. This food contains friendly bacteria (benefits the intestinal system and in turn the immune system of the pet); included in Guaranteed Analysis (company guarantees viable bacteria). Minus: Contains Garlic controversial ingredient."

While they did mention the use of garlic, the product was still rated 5 stars, and my dog has NEVER gotten sick off these biscuits (I only give him NV biscuits). They smell like actual food and have a nice consistency not "cardboard" like some pet treats made of ingredients you don't even recognize. You can easily break each treat into 3-4 pieces if using for training purposes.

I feel the product should actually be used by the reviewer in order to make a credible review of the product. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND ALL NATURE'S VARIETY PRODUCTS, based on ACTUAL use!!!!! Give them a try, your dog will thank you :-)

I love these treats, everything about them is good. The ingredients are fantastic, not too expensive, (although not exactly cheap), they're easy to split up but don't end up all crumbled at the end of the box. they even *smell* good! and my dog loves them. 11 oz is a good size.

I've tried 3 of the 4 flavors, far as I can tell he likes them all equally.

oh, and the reviewer below giving a warning, they are incorrect, garlic is toxic in concentrated amounts, not in a daily treat at the bottom of the ingredient list. If you fed enough of these treats for the garlic to be an issue, garlic would be the least of your problems. lol.

My miniature dachshund can usually destroy a toy like this one in a couple of hours but this thing really lasts. I was worried about the Velcro closure but it seems to be really strong, she still has not managed to get the squeaker out. AND it comes with an extra squeaker which is a big plus in my book. Definitely worth the price. This toy is even better in real life and has a mix of textures for dogs to chew on. For example underneath the duck's "wings" is a sheepskin type of fabric. Fun.

I recently purchased a few of these nearly indestructible toys for our beagle and our american bulldog puppy. They play very rough with these little animals, including playing tug with them several times a day, and they are still in one piece!! I love that they don't have any stuffing in them, so there are no white fluffy pieces flying around my house after a day of play! Plus the extra squeakers that come with each animal are a huge help! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!

Our 23 pound medium golden doodle manages to destroy all stuffed toys, so we were excited to hear about this toy as it sounded more durable. However, she managed to pull apart the nose and pull all the stuffing out in under 30 minutes. So it's not as durable as it seemed. Great toy though, but it's not a toy for aggressive chewers.

I bought this toy for my dog on a whim (because I wanted to get free shipping) and so far it has been great. She is a small dog so it is just the right size for her. Also, unlike many of her other toys, she has not destroyed it yet. It also comes with an extra squeaker that you can put into the back of the toy if the other one breaks (there is velcro that you open to put it in). So far so good!

My dog is really picky about food, and has a lot of tartar problems. I try to get him to chew on rawhide (only when I'm around), but he doesn't like it. I've tried other types of healthy chews, but he won't eat them. He has really liked the paragon products. He likes the alligators, but the hedgehogs have too many hard pieces, so he's not as wild about them.

These "ears" have been a blessing. He LOVES them so much he begs me to give him one. He chews them well and they help keep his teeth clean and healthy.

My sister's dog loves the hedgehogs, and friends dogs love them and the alligators as well. They come in different colors (maybe these are also different flavors?) My dog likes the light brown and the green, but NOT the orange.

Highly recommend these treats.

So why only four stars instead of five? When the dogs get too many, it gives them diarrhea. I only give my dog one of these every other day, and it does the trick for his teeth and keeps him regular. If he gets one every day it's not as good a result :-)

So, be sure to buy the right size for your dog (my dog is 50 lbs).

This bone lasted about 4 months of daily chewing with my 85lb chocolate lab. The center is hard, so he couldn't just lick out the inside. It also does not splinter. He typically loses interest in bones after the center is gone so this was a great find.
