This product texture and smell seem very similar to Wagontrain chicken fillets. The pkg clearly has a sticker showing made in USA, however, states manfactured for Meyer Country Farms. I contacted Meyer Country Farms. They would not tell me where this product is manufactured from. He claims, USA, however he would not give me a city or state, so I have my doubts. My dog loves this brand. It is soft and chewy and will not harm him. No more runny bowel movements for my dog. I recommend the amazon subscribe & save for this product. I have tried other made in the USA jerky treat offers, and my dog prefers this one. The only challenge is that some of them are crumbled, probably due to shipping. I would recommend this to dogs that are finnicky about taste.

I bought this after my old fabric bag dispenser (came free with a box of bags) fell apart. I've been using it for a few days now and I heartily recommend it. This thing is so much better than the cheapie dispensers. It has two velcro attachment points so it doesn't rattle or slide around on the leash, and the hole for dispensing the bags is just the right size not so big that the roll falls out, not so small that it's hard to pull out the next bag. The second pocket is a little too small to hold a credit card or ID when there's a full roll of bags, but it will hold a couple of keys, treats, cash. It's especially great for warm days when I don't have any jacket pockets. My two babies absolutely love these!! I recently bought tendons and trachea for them but my 17 years old boy was having hard time enjoying those.. so, I bought these lungs and he can't get enough of it!! It's not hard and it's not really chewy, the texture is fluffy like popcorn! You can easily break them into small pieces, so they are great for big or small dogs. Would recommend for senior babies with hard time chewing treats. It's got a bit of a smell but it disappear fairly quickly and does not stain the carpet. I give my 30 lb sheltie about half a piece of lung every morning for her (first) breakfast. Now this SmokeHouse product my dogs can't get enough of. They would eat the entire bag in one sitting if they could. It is a very light, airy, crunchy treat...I'm not sure about how healthy they are for the dogs as the label does not give too much information detailing all the contents and how "healthy" they are for pets. They will make them thirsty because they are dry. No complaints on this product.

I'm disturbed that these treats, as many reviewers state, are so "addictive." My dog, too, loves them but has now begun to shun her meals and will only eat these treats. In trying to make sense of her current state of anorexia, I recently became aware of the FDA advisory on Dec. 19, 2008 stating that one of the symptoms to be aware of in dogs eating chicken jerky treats made in China is "decreased appetite, although some may continue to consume the treats to the exclusion of other foods." So be very wary of the fact that dogs seem to go crazy over these treats. Although the Dogswell Company states clearly that their product is not contaminated, and that third party testers have confirmed this, do the owners of the company truly know what's happening in China behind the scenes? Or who might get paid off to test certain batches of jerky? I and my vet have been unable to come up with any other explanation for my dog's anorexia, except that it coincides with her increased interest (and now ONLY interest) in Happy Hips since I began treating her with them last spring. I subscribe to a couple of Bichon Frise newsgroup and they are saying not to feed these to your dog as they come from China I threw out what I had left for the outside critters in the forest. Please be aware that although dogs absolutely LOVE these treats, that they may have caused a recent unexplainable illness in our 9 month old Mastiff pup. He was getting 1 or 2 a day of these chicken jerky's for about a week and then suddenly became very lethargic, along with vomiting, diarrhea, and had no appetite "except" he would eat only these treats and drink water. Vet thinks he'll recover OK, but advised us to stop feeding them to our dogs. These are still "Made in China" and in 2007 reports had shown that dogs were getting sick from these and other brands, and there are still reported cases today. Just be careful and watch your pets closely if you are feeding them these. We will no longer feed these to any of our dogs, ever. Wish Dogswell would manufacturer these in the USA again.

Although this product looked appetizing to my eyes my bird barely touched the first one. First off I received this product broken and pieces were falling all over the place off of the plastic holder it was on in the bag. I wish I would've brought it from a store in person. I am sure it is probably not the companies fault rather but how it was handled getting to me through the mail. I have only used one it fell apart in his cage and was wasted due to him pooing on it and his disinterest in it. I will not be ordering this product again. My birds LOVE these treat sticks. I mean they dance around on their short little feet back and forth and back and forth the second they see me holding this package. But why the three star review? Packaging. About half the time I order these things at least one of the sticks is barren (i.e. the seeds have crumbled and fallen off the stick due to rough shipping). It's really a bummer because the price is great and like I said, my birds are crazy about these things but I basically pay full price for two sticks with seeds on them, two empty sticks, and a bag a quarter full of broken seeds.

The Milk-Bone product is great. My dog has been getting them for a treat for almost ten years now. I used to by them a CostCo. Same box. But early this year they stopped carrying them. I did buy a box from this source in desperation in May. The price was outrageous then. Now even more so. For $21 you can go to your local PetSmart and get two 10lb boxes. These dog treats are the same as the kibble that I feed my dog. My dog was vomiting for no apparent reason. After my dog's veterinarian told us about the food, I started her on it and after a week on it she stopped vomiting...that was four years ago. The dog treats are the same as the kibble. They come in two different sizes (small for small dogs and puppies and medium for medium sized dogs). My dog is 47 pounds and about 20 inches tall and I feed her the medium sized treats. I normally like the Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Venison or Sweet Potato and Bison. But this 14oz bag came busted up and the treats are a bigger size than the size in a smaller bag. The treats were really brittle and broke easily. I wouldn't buy this one any more but will buy the smaller ones in a store.

I've been feeding my dog(s) Science Diet food for a number of years, have always been pleased with whichever type used and the dogs seem to love it. Ordering this way is very convenient as I can no longer manage buying the bags and carrying them in from the garage. I much prefer the larger bags due to cost but they are hard for me to manage now. During a routine tooth cleaning by our vet, it was discovered that our little Miniature Schnauzer(11 yrs old) had almost no thyroid count. So the Dr. put her on a thyroid medication and a diet. Her thyroid is now normal but the most exciting part is that she has lost almost 5 pounds. We use the light Science diet and carefully measure it according to recommendations on the bag for the weight we wanted her to be. She is a "grazer" in that she will vaccum up any crumb, bug or dead item she can find outside, so we had some difficulty in the beginning of THE DIET!! She has adjusted and can now run circles around the other dogs and can easily jump up on the sofa with no help. Happy happy happy little girl. It was our fault that we let her gain weight but all is well now and we will continue on a healthy program for her. Her coat glistens and her eyes are bright and snappy. This food seems to satiate my dog's appetite. She's 78 pounds but should probably weigh about 10-15 pounds less. I've been using SD Light with her for about one month and I can see some progress already. We purchased this on the recommendation of a friend who had great success with his overweight lab. I'm a Prime member too so having a 40 pound bag delivered to my door for free was a nice bonus and beats the heck out of having to carry it myself.
