First let me say that when we last purchased these in November 2012 I would have given them 5 stars. Our dogs love them and they were a good value.

They were $14.89 for 37 oz... now they are $29.00 ...just too much $ way too much

We are very careful with the treats we buy as we almost lost a dog from bad chicken treats from China.

I am giving tese 3 stars because our dog still likes them but it is cheaper to just buy chicken and boil it rather than pay $29.00 for 2 lbs of chickrn.

Originally purchased at Sam's for a much lower price than what I have paid over the internet. However, this is Sam's failing to me. You better buy when they have it because there is very little chance they will continue to carry a particular product. That being said, my dog absolutely loves these treats. She has never refused them, and I think she would eat the whole container if given the opportunity. I like the large plastic container, and the bones stay soft until they are gone. She still gets the hard Milkbone treats to help her teeth, but these are a nice special treat. Worth the higher cost.

If you only give 1-2 treats a day, these will last you 2-3 months. My dog loves these, and will do anything I ask in exchange for one. They smell like cooked chicken, and they smell good enough to eat (but probably don't taste that good to humans).

They were a little costly but what we wanted. Been looking all over and even called Milkbone and couldn't find them anywhere but here. The service was fast and even at the cost a good deal. Our dogs thank you.

I bought this product for a 70 gal AquaClear hanging filter on a 50 gallon freshwater tank to end an algae bloom. It had no effect on the algae bloom after 3 weeks. I bought a 9 watt Green Killing Machine filter and the bloom went away after 7 days. Since the bloom went away, regular non-bloom algae is growing fast on the rocks and ornaments under LED lights. Whether or not this product removes phosphates, it does not seem to stop algae growth under normal lighting and feeding conditions. I had high hopes that phosphate removal would control algae, but this doesn't do that so buy it for other reasons and not to end or even slow algae. I have a big bag of it in the filter. 2 stars instead of 1 because I can't say it doesn't remove phosphates, but it doesn't do what some people claim.

I was running low on this product as I use it with my saltwater fish tank. This product is great at reducing the algae that we have in the tank by getting rid of the phosphates in the water column. Just rinse and change it every other week.

I bought this for my 12 week old German Wirehaired Pointer puppy, thinking she had a little mouth so I should get her a little toy. She ripped it to shreds in days. Perhaps this toy in this size is for small breeds?

This is a great toy for a couple of reasons. first it's pretty tough and my cattle dog has trouble tearing it apart. second he loves playing with it and it's the first toy that wears him out before me. I live on a mountain and can easily throw it down the hill and he runs it back uphill. You can also curve it so it can go farther.

This is my Miniature Schnauzer's favorite toy.

It took her a 2-3 years to wear out the first

one. It has nylon belting under the rubber, so

it does not fall apart. Just got her a new one.

She loves to play fetch, or tug of war with this.

Great product!!

If you have a high energy dog that needs to be busy "working" all the time, the Chuckle is a GREAT toy. This toy is the one toy that my very high-energy Austrailian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler) plays with by herself. She works and works to get the treats out. She also has the Busy Buddies Football another good sturdy toy that challenges her to earn her treats.

My ACD uses the Chuckle like a hockey stick to bat her toys and balls around like they are hockey pucks. She uses it as a "pole vault" to raise her front legs off the floor. It occupies her for hours.

The Chuckle and the Football both last for several months which is highly unusual. Most toys I've gotten her last for 5 minutes. The noise maker in the stem of the Chuckle doesn't usually last long but I'm not a fan of the squeaky noise anyway! She continues to play with it without the squeak so that works for both of us.

I highly recommend Busy Buddies toys for agressive chewers and high energy dogs.

I have two dogs--one just over a year, one over 12 years old. My puppy really likes this toy--and she has a lot of experience with "puzzle toys."

But I find that while she will spend a lot of time trying to get stuff out (I usually put some of her normal kibble in), she never can. And so what happens is, stuff gets really cruddy and gross and rotten inside the ends if you don't find a way to get the stuff out. And there is no easy way to get stuff out--that's the point, right?

My best find has been to get a chopstick or something and stick through the hole on the sides of each end and twirl it around to push stuff out. Running water in and doing this seems to help as well. It's a very imperfect science, and it takes a while. But I did manage to get everything out as far as I can tell.

Another plus is that, she will definitely not destroy it by chewing it--it's very solid. She's a medium sized puppy with a pretty persistent approach to most chewy things, and I am 100% certain, she won't ever chew this thing. She seems more interested in getting stuff out than chewing the actually toy.

I have a Portuguese Water Dog, Bella, who is on a continuous mission to destroy (usually successfully) and digest (usually not, which results in cramps and a mess) every "tough" dog toy ever made. About a year ago, I got lucky and discovered the Chuckle. This toy is still intact after daily chewing. It functions very well as an interactive treat dispenser. That did require a small adjustment. When I realized that the Chuckle was reluctant to dispense even the smallest treats, I took a pair of scizzors and trimmed the tips off the rubber prongs that hold treats inside the Chuckle. Try it--keep removing bits of rubber from the prong tips until the treats can pop out when your dog plays with the toy. (Don't take off too much or the Chuckle will spew all the treats at once instead of dispensing them individually.) I left one end of the Chuckle unaltered so that it can hold back a few treats and maintain my dog's interest over a longer period of time. (Avoid putting moist treats inside the Chuckle, unless you enjoy washing dog toys.)

The Chuckle survived an inadvertent dip in my pool--no, Chuckle's don't float. Afterward, the toy's "chuckle" sound mutated into a Gollum-like evil snicker, which I found hysterically funny. That didn't last. Once the water evaporated from the Chuckle's voice box, the old familiar "chuckle" returned. The Chuckle sound is neither loud nor obnoxious. I like it. I can get my dog's attention, no matter how distracted she might be, if I give the Chuckle a good shaking. Besides using the Chuckle for play, I load it with small treats before I leave for work, toss it to my very appreciative dog and drive away, knowing that my dog will be busy for a while and less likely to mind my departure.

The Chuckle is my dog's favorite toy, and mine as well. I'm going to order another!

The little noisemaker in the center bar makes a clicking sound when the toy is moved in a certain direction. I have a Dal. I have had Dals since I was a kid and I am now approaching 70. I am retired now so I get to have more time and fun with my Dal. I also have 2 other dogs, a Chihuahua and a Corgi mix. I love them all, but Dals are different, not smarter, not better, just different. My Dal gets the treats out of the Chuckle and shares them with the two little dogs. He is very sweet, but in human terms, not the sharpest knife in the drawer. So after all the treat pieces are out of the chuckle, my Dal hears the noisemaker moving about and I guess, assumes it is a piece of a treat still in one side of the dumbell. He used to have a Waggle, and when there was just one piece of something left inside that he could not get out he would bring the waggle to me and literally throw it at me until I got the last piece out for him. Well, this thing moving around in the Chuckle drives him nuts. After he has emptied it he stills hears something moving inside it so he throws it at me. I try to explain that there is actually nothing edible in the thing and give it back to him, but to no avail. He takes it, makes a circle of the house, comes back and throws it at me again. This will only end when I hide the thing until the next morning. (The treat bone is a once a day routine, done only in the morning, about an hour after breakfast.) This is why I give it 5 stars. I gotta love any toy that brings a bit more fun and joy to a dogs life.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, this toy, like the Waggle seems to be a durable, quality product. The Waggle lasted almost 2 years of daily use until it eventually got demolished. My Dals have never been fond of keeping toys. They would much rather see what they are made of. Most toys last an average of 30 mimnutes, 15 if there is a squeaker involved. Funny thing is he does not destroy the little dogs toys, only his own. Anyway, I think the Chuckle might meet or even exceed the 2 year survivability limit of Dal toys actually in daily use.

I bought this toy for my lab who constantly needs to be entertained. He picked up on the concept of the toy immediately. I even Trained him to find and bring his "treat" toy.

Unfortunately, the treats would not come out no matter how hard the toy was dropped on the floor. I tried every size treat. Grant it, a pea size morsely of a treat works, but it comes out too fast defeating the purpose of the toy. Recommend the inventor go back and revisit the treat dispensing mechinism.

I bought this for my corgi puppy and was disappointed because it didn't seem well suited to the Kong treats. So, like many other toys, it got put aside and forgotten.

He absolutely loves to chew on bully sticks (we feed him less kibble so that he can have a bully every evening). In fact, he loves them so much, that one night, he forgot to chew the darn thing, and he swallowed, WHOLE, an 8 inch bully stick. He spent the night at the emergency vet fortunately he digested it fine, but it was really scary!

So, I started putting bullies through the regular Kong toy, and it worked great Puppy could chew the bully just fine, but there wasn't any danger of swallowing it whole. But it was such a pain to clean. There was always a little nub left in the toy and it was so g-r-o-s-s.

Finally I remembered that I had this bone, and it's perfect! Again, no danger of the dog swallowing the bully whole, and waaay easier to clean than the regular Kong toy. The small is the right size for bullies. Highly recommended!

I bought a puppy kong and put peanut butter and some meaty treats (hey, you put your chicken in my peanut butter!) and my dog was bored to tears. But when I got this and put 1/2 a piece of jerky that he never gets to eat (too rich) in either end he was so occupied trying to get the jerky out he didn't see or hear me leave and when I came back 30 minutes later he was still gnawing on it.

Another reviewer commented on the shape the jerky works well and I used a popsicle stick or dull butter knife to poke the leftovers out when finished. It seemed easier to clean than the regular kong, frankly.

My Puggle destroyed this within 10 minutes. What a waste of money. The product is not durable as one would expect from KONG sad to say.

The upside of the Kong Goodie Bone is that it withstands the razor-sharp teeth of my over-sized Pomeranian, Tiger Kowalski, who managed to eat a four inch circular hole in the wall. He loves his bone, plays with it a lot, and gnaws on it with impunity.

What I don't like is the "goodie" capability. The Kong stuffing items are over-priced. Tiger Kowalski can remove literally anything I stuff it with in a matter of seconds. Stuffing it with anything soft is a bad idea as it sticks inside, rots, and is hard to clean out.

Nonetheless, if you have a dog who can chew through almost anything, this product seems to hold up quite well. I did, however find it cheaper at my local Petsmart, but then again, I ordered it to bring an Amazon order to $25 for free shipping; thus, it worked out to be cheaper in the long run.

Want KONG Goodie Bone Dog Toy, Small, Red Discount?

My chihuahua isn't to keen on this one. THe ends are too smooshy because they are not solid. They have the "holes" so you can fill them with peanut butter or that cheese stuff but I don't give her that filling stuff. She just gets it as a bone. So, the bone "gives" too much when she chews and it's not very much fun for her. And when she DOES chew on it......she is able to tear the little pieces of the flex holes part away and then she swallows them. NOT GOOD. I've actually had to take it away from her, and then that creates a whole other problem. So, it's really not my favorite. I like the Dental Stick MUCH better.

A recently deceased friend told me about this food, Canadae Platinum. He fed his "boys" both the dry and the canned. His boys are a German Spitz and a Bichon Frise, 4/14 years old respectively. Doug said that after less than two weeks, the 14 year old was like a "new dog".

I now have his dogs, fullfilling a promise, added to our Doxy and Shiba Inu ( 5/7 years respectively), three cats and 7 birds. All the dogs are now on this Canadae Platinum dry food and love it. While they used to pick at their old food, they dive into this. They also seem to get satiated faster, so they actually leave a little in the bowls.

The Glucosamine/Chondroitin is the key for the older dog. A vet once recommended it for an older dog we used to have years ago. When I started taking it for my arthritic ankles, I was soon able to stop taking anti-inflamatories like Daypro. I've since found out that the medical establishment considers GC to be useless. All I can say is that it works for me, and within a few weeks of re-starting Little Boy ( the 14 year old) on this food with GC, he runs, plays and jumps with the rest of the dogs like a puppy.

There are a few places in Las Vegas selling this food, all "high-end" pet food stores and all slightly more expensive. The convenience of one-click and having the food on my doorstep in a day or two is even better than the savings.

We've also moved our cats over to Felidae (the feline version of Canadae) with similar results.

I've been feeding my dogs Canidae foods for over 10 years. I partially attribute their longevity to a great diet and regular exercise. I had some problems in the past when it appeared that Canidae reformulated this particular food and I ended up switching to another brand. I was never happy with the other brand, and after about a year off from Canidae, I gave them another try. The food was back to the former formula and my dogs loved it (and still do). I'm happy that this senior formula has Glucosamine as a supplement. Overall, aside from the reformulation issue, I'm a happy Canidae customer and my dogs are happy Canidae dogs!

Want Canidae Dry Dog Food for Senior and Overweight Dogs, Platinum Formula Discount?

Canidae has changed their formula and it is also now being made by the Diamond pet food company. Do your research...many, many users of this new formula have dealt with very sick dogs. There is nothing on the packaging that states "new formula". I noticed a change when I opened the package...different color of kibble. I checked the ingredients llisted on the back and compared to an outdated brochure from the company. I thought that the new formula would be OK. I haven't had the severity of problems that others have had, but after reading several postings at different sites, I susupect that the changes I have observed in my senior golden in the last month or so has to be the food! Time will tell..she gets homemade food tomorrow.

I got this product for my border collie when he was 8 weeks old. To get him interested in it I would place treats at the end. He loves to chew on this bone when it has a treat in it and loves to play with it even when it doesn't now. I also like mixing dry dog food with wet food and stuffing the ends. He has to work on it a little bit longer than just putting a regular treat in it. He is now 6 months old with his adult teeth and still chews on it with no problems of it falling apart.

I have a german shephard puppy mix that I adopted when he was 7 weeks. I hadn't realized his breed until later or how fast he'd grow but starting off this was a great toy for him. My suggestion is if you know that your puppy is going to be a large dog get him a larger puppy toy otherwise he'll outgrow this pretty quick. Overall though I recommend KONG pet toys because through the years, it is a brand that I can trust.

I got this bone and would fill it with peanut butter and freeze it a few times a week for my 4 mo puppy. It kept him nice and busy for a few hours, and he absolutely loved it. After about three weeks, though, I was filling it with PB when I noticed it was severely cracking around the edges of the openings. It was so bad I didn't trust it with my puppy, afraid he'd tear it apart and eat the plastic while I was gone. I had to toss the bone, and I was really disappointed it lasted so little time.

The adult kong bone (the large red one) is holding up great, but I guess these "softer" puppy ones are just not as sturdy. Be careful if you have a really strong chewer, because this could be dangerous.
