When I ordered this item, I expected to receive at least the same value of the ones I've purchased at my local store for years. I received this order today. I ordered this product because it looked like a good deal and the only thing I had to go by was weight of product. Well, when it showed up from UPS I knew something was wrong. The box showed 8 lbs. shipping weight (and I ordered another item that was in the box), and I picked it up and it definitely wasn't 17 lbs., 7 at best. It wasn't in a box; it was a generic clear bag without a label. I contact Amazon and since it wasn't directly from amazon, they could only offer to email a return label. These bones were a good value, and were consistently sized. We got the 4-5" set, which came with exactly 51, as described on the product page. Most were around the lower end of the size range -4". The bones came in a zippered plastic bag, similar to the type of bag a sheets would come in, rather than a box as described on the product page.

I thought Smokehouse products were always from the USA that is why I ordered these. Much to my surprise, these were made in China. Not only that but they contain wheat flour. I am returning them. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased, I see another review mentioned that these were made in China. I have two, 10lb, russel terrier pups that absolutely love these bite size treats. Training them using these treats as positive rewards has simplified my life. The chicken chips are crunchy and small enough to give throughout the day, for good behavior. I never get the feeling that they won't eat their food because they filled up on these delicious treats.

I got this toy along with about 10 others between Amazon and Petco and this one by far has stood up to my dog's chewing. He is an active chewer and this toy seems to be his favorite. The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is that the little treats that are attached go very quickly so I will have to look into some more, but he does like it either way. Wow my retriever mix dog LOVES this dog toy. I was hesitant because of the price but considering bully sticks and other nylabones are expensive and don't last long, this one is worth the cost. My dog obviously loves chewing on the rings but even when they are chewed off, she still chews on the nylabone endings all the time. We end up only putting on a 2 rings maybe once a week as an extra special treat. I will say this though this thing is HEAVY, so watch your toes!
