Our mixed terrier is quite a chewer so we have to pick toys carefully. This is my 2nd Squirrel Toy and both are still alive! My dog LOVES to chewshe's 6 months old and is about 30lbs. She can get through a rawhide pretty quicklythis one has lasted the longest and is perfect! My 7 YO mini poodle is an extremely picky dog. I have tried dozens of treats to try and get him to chew and scrape off plaque and keep his teeth nice. He basically only likes chipped rawhide (which I avoid usually due to choking hazard and low production quality), True Chews Lils bully sticks, and True Chews pig ears. These ears are made in the US from US-sourced (Tyson brand) meat. They are very greasy, so I bought a clean new pair of pruning shears and cut them in half. The catnip-flavored Laxatone hairball remedy seems to be an acceptable flavor to my cats and works just fine in getting hairballs to move through their systems. The only downside is that I have to keep it refrigerated so that it will be a consistency I can work with if I want to put it directly in their mouths instead of goobering it on their paws to lick off. It's very liquidy and runs right off my finger. That's a problem with my cats because I can't let them see the tube as I'm approaching them or they'll run away. So, when I put some on my finger and leave the tube behind, it's tough to walk even 30 feet to get to the cat without the Laxatone dripping off of my finger. Our cat was diagnosed with diabetes. Our vet prescribed 5 units of insulin.
