We were searching for a treat we could use in clicker training for our golden retriever puppy. We tried some by Blue Buffalo, which she liked, but they made my hands smell gross, and I did not want to put smelly, crumbly treats in my pocket. I found these Tricky Trainers at a local fancy pet store and THEY ARE WONDERFUL. My dog will do nearly anything to get these. They smell like cheddar cheese, instead of funky liver or whatever. They do not leave my hands smelly, they do not leave stinky crumbs in my pockets (no crumbs at all) and they're super easy to manage.

I have purchased these freeze-dried natural chicken breast treats in the past from a few different suppliers so I know what to expect in terms of product characteristics & quality. I have a dentally-challenged senior cat who is diabetic (in remission), has a hyperthyroid condition & mega colon. He has lost several teeth so it was important that I find a treat for him that he likes that not only is natural, without additives or sugars but also has a soft, tender consistency that is easy for him to chew. These Real Food Toppers freeze-dried chicken breast pieces were the perfect solution & my cat loved them. They even print "soft to chew" right on the packaging. I found this 2-pack listing on Amazon with an outstanding discounted price so I decided my next order would be from Amazon (I also decided to make it an autoship subscription as well so saving even more $). Unfortunately, when the 1st shipment arrived I was quite disappointed to find chicken pieces that were dried up & hard -maybe 15% of the pieces were soft enough to give my cat. In fact, because when I offer treats to my cat I normally have to break the large chunks into smaller bite-sized pieces, I found the majority of the product in this order to be so hard I could not even break them apart with my hands. If I attempted to cut them up into much smaller pieces with a knife so he could maybe chew those, the product simply disintegrated into crumbs. All 4 pouches in my order were the same unacceptable quality. I also determined that not a single one had a "best by" date on the packaging. Since every other package I'd ever purchased regardless of who the supplier was always had dates on them I figured these pouches must have been very, very old. Because I opened all 4 pouches thinking I'd eventually have to find some acceptable pieces I was unable to return the order. When I receive the 2d shipment if there are no dates on any of the pouches then I'll be returning the order (unopened) otherwise I'll open a pouch & if I find the contents unacceptable I'll return the shipment & cancel the remainder of the autoship subscription.

This is a very, very good product.

I use it for my girl's tear stains (Cocker Poo-Dog).

Use a little ca. 3-4 drops pure, without (NO) water and rub it gently under the dogs eyes where you usually see the staining (careful to not get into her eyes). Best is when you first clip the hair away with shears that have rounded ends (secure).

After you cleaned the area with "Precious Essentials German Chamomile Blended w/Jojoba " take a Q-Tip with a little warm water , not wet just damp, and take the intensity away. Then take a cotton pad (flat rounds are best)and completely dry it (essential). Than dip your pinky finger in some Johnson's Baby Powder, Pure Cornstarch (important), Lavender & Chamomile, 15 oz. by Johnson & Johnson and press gently onto the area--leave it like that (not in eyes-don't get the powder too close). You are done. Do this twice a day and soon your dog's tear stains will be gone. Sounds a lot , but it's actually not more than 5 minutes.

Let me know what you think. This is cheaper and better (more efficient) than all the tear stain remover products.

I have a maltese/poodle mix and this really does work. He HATES the beef flavor but likes the sweet potato flavor. I mix it in his food and he gobbles it up. I will continue to use it but now I do every other day.

This product does all it says it will. I began using this about three months ago on my Bichon and my Maltese/Yorkie. The Maltese mix is 4 years old and has always had dark eyes. Cloud Star's Tricky Trainers are bite-sized, palatable, chewable treats that are approximately 0.5 inches big. They come in three main flavors: cheddar, liver, and salmon. I sampled (well, JP, my dog, sampled) two flavors: cheddar and liver. These treats were perfect sized for putting into a Kong treat dispenser, and were generally palatable (JP finds them much more palatable then dry treats). I found the Tricky Trainers surprisingly more "dry" than most pocket-sized treats, however. In other words, they don't seem to be oily to touch, aren't excessively moist, and have a high anti-squish (i.e., firm) factor. This is beneficial if you're using them as true training treats to reward your dog (i.e., storing them in your pocket). Their con: I found the cheddar smell to be repulsive it has a really strong smell, so if you're cheese shy, avoid. Cheddar is the 5th ingredient (remember, ingredients are listed in descending order of predominance (from most to least). For the other two flavors, chicken liver and salmon are listed first. The other con: the number of calories per treat isn't listed, so we don't know exactly how "low fat" or "low calorie" they truly are. The final con: if you have a super picky puppy that you are trying to train (and are using these as food motivation rewards), these may not work as well as small pieces of hot dog or pieces of freeze-dried liver treats. When it comes to puppy training, finding a treat that your dog can't resist is imperative to get them to train correctly!

These products are listed as wheat and corn free, which is good if your dog has these specific food allergies. That said, if your dog doesn't have these specific allergies, not a big deal. The good news: all ingredients are natural, made in the USA, and the products contain no artificial favors or colors. Overall, a pretty good training treat!

My rescue dog is reactive and easily stressed. These treats are great for when he gets fixated on something (another dog in the distance, a person he doesn't like, etc) and I need to quickly get his attention. They get my dog to focus on me immediately and he will do anything for them.

They're also wonderful for obedience training in generalthey're small so you can feed a bunch of themand stinky enough to really pack a flavor punch. He has all three flavors (in chewy) but he seems to like the liver the most. They stink like a holy terror, but to a dog, they must smell great. I just need to put one near his nose and it gets his attention no matter how distracted he is.

We have two dogs, both of which would make short work of a large rawhide, completely consuming it in about an hour. Needless to say we were concerned about their health, both the possibility of choking, but also the stomach upset that always followed a rawhide session. We got them hooked on Nylabones as an alternative. Even if your dog is an avid rawhide fan, they can love Nylabone--you just have to use some tricky psychology and make the dog THINK it's the greatest treasure in the world. We've tried a couple different Nylabone models, and the Wishbone is by far the favorite. With the three prongs, they can easily anchor it in front of them with their feet and they have their choice of prong to chew. Even if you've tried other Nylabones and not met with much success, keep trying until you find a style that works for your dog. Try the softer ones first so your dog gets some success chewing on it so he's less likely to give up on the harder ones, then graduate up to the harder ones. It's definitely a safer and healthier alternative to rawhides and satisfies even the chewiest dog.

I don't particularly care for this shape/style of Nylabone because of the way it fits into my dog's mouth. It is also really thin compared to the other Nylabone chews. However, my dogs have no complaints! I have an aggressive chewer & I always purchase Nylabone products for him. It's not as durable as a KONG, but instead of rubber, it's more of a plastic material. Be prepared, because it will splinter, if you have an aggressive chewer like mine, but it's definitely worth it because it keeps him entertained. I usually have one bone for 2-4 months, depending on his interest. You can even boil them in bouillon flavor once a week to keep the flavors strong! This product is much cheaper on Amazon compared to pet stores where they sell for $10-$30 (depending on the shape/style) for the larger size.

I have an avid chewer, a terrier, so much so that I call him the toy destroyer. I bought him this wishbone hoping it would give him some chewing action and last. Within 30 minutes he was chewing off small chunks and swallowed at least one before I threw it out. BEWARE! it is not safe for them to ingest this product. There are several reviews of dogs coming to harm from Nylabone's products. Wish I had researched that before buying it.

Just had vet leave the house after examining my dog who had loose bowels for last 3 weeks. Stool check was fine. She is a strong chewer (Irish and Jack Russell Terrier. I bought the hardest bones made. There were shards of nylabone stuck in her rectum that were so sharp they could cut my finger. I changed her bones constantly but that made no difference. Fragments break off and get inside the dog's stomach and do serious damange. She has been so sick. These bones do NOT go through a dog's system easily. After using the vets liquid for passing the worms 3 different times, 3 weeks apart, I ordered this. Dosage for my 40 lb shepherd lab mix was 3 pills. I gave her 3 and no sign of worms after. I gave her the remaining 2 pills 3 weeks later just as a little boost but don't think I needed to. She eats everything. My year old dog loved the antler chew I purchased in Denver while on vacation. I ordered this chew after he demolished the other one. I purchased a large size because he seemed to chew up the medium one quite quickly. The chew arrived well packaged and before the anticipated delivery date. It is 9" long measured end to end. Since it is curved--probably more like 9 1/2". The ends were filed down and there are no sharp edges. I will definitely purchase additional products from Pet Expertise through Amazon.

Two or three months ago, I subscribed to this company for automatic delivery of their dried chicken "breasts" each month. When this month's order arrived, I allowed my Golden Retriever to eat one only. Within a short time he became severely ill and continued vomiting repeatedly throughout the entire night. I am a retired attorney/judge. I do not become hysterical over every complaint that makes a claim that some product or other can kill your pet. Now, I greatly regret my cavalier attitude about this particular item. Had my Golden been weakened in any other way, I do not believe he would have survived this incident.

My on-going purchase of this product despite prior bad press and numerous complaints was foolish. But I trusted that the distributors of the dried chicken "breasts" would monitor this product more closely after the first recall of this product so that no other animals would be harmed. Such was clearly not the case. In fact, it appears that the only action the U.S. distributors took after the last recall was to print on each package that the product had come from the United States. Closer inspection however reveals that although this product was packaged in the U.S., it continued to be imported from China.

Amazon is by far the best retailer on the Internet by far. My complaint is not against Amazon. But I feel compelled to alert other potential customers regarding the poisoning my dog suffered (and he did suffer). I can imagine other pets who are smaller, older, or in some other way more vulnerable than my Golden, would and could actually die if they consumed even the smallest amount of this product. It's true that this was not the case every month. Rather it is an intermittent but on-going problem.

I cannot emphasize enough how serious this problem is. It is absolutely necessary to eliminate the distribution of this product in the U.S. once and for all. Please Amazon, end your involvement in this matter.
