This is a five-star product selling at twice what it should be. Check out any other pet vendor. It should be $6/per box. Heck, we get them at our local petstore in NYC for $6/box. But the treats are fantastic, no grains, my dogs have been enjoying Cloud Star products for years and I'm thrilled they are making crunchy no-grain dog biscuits. In fact, I buy these by the half-dozen at my usual pet supplier. I was getting them autoshipped by Amazon but not at these prices!

As a veterinarian, I love Cloud Star products for several reasons. First of all, I love how they commit 10% of their net profits to non-profit organizations (which benefit not only four-legged pets, but also women, children, and the environment). Secondly, all their products are made in the USA, which is really important. With the recent FDA voluntary recalls on treats from China (e.g., chicken jerky treats, sweet potato treats, etc.), I never advocate that my clients feed treats, food, etc. from China. With Cloud Star products, I fully understand all the ingredients. Lastly, my dog loves them: both the wet variety and the dried. Great for filling Kong products to entertain him while I'm away.With the smooth aged cheddar flavor, the ingredients are: chickpea flour, pea flour, tapioca starch, potato flour, cheddar cheese, expeller pressed canola oil and mixed tocopherols (to prevent spoiling).
Personally, I will state that the majority of dogs are not gluten, corn, or wheat intolerant, so that aspect isn't a huge selling point for me. Grain free is OK in my opinion in dogs that are NOT allergic to them. Regardless, you know what you're getting with these products.
I'm NOT an advocate of making cats vegetarian (they are carnivores). Dogs are omnivores and generally prefer a meat-based diet (e.g., the first ingredient in your dog food should ideally be meat). However, if you're looking for a good vegetarian biscuit, this one fits!

I LOVE that these cookies look like actual cookies: gingerbread men! They are fun to give my dogs and my dogs love them. They are very crunchy too. But in the whole box only about 1/4 of the cookies were remotely whole. All of the rest were broken in pieces: arms, legs, heads, bits of torso. I feel good giving these treats to my senioarer dog. Being that they are "grain-free", they do not upset his sensitive tummy.
