These are not the best rawhide bones we have ever purchased for our dog, but they are a tremendous value. Rawhide bones are expensive, and buying in bulk is the way to go. Our dog is a chewer, and regularly destroys most toys we put in front of him. He seems to feel like any toy we bring back is a challenge to his destructive talents.
The large bones are the way to go. I cannot speak to the smaller variety, but the 8-9 are well sized, uniform, and last him quite awhile. Somehow he has figured out how to dislodge teach knot on the end, so it sort of becomes four chew toys. Each end knot, the main body, and then a little strip at the end that reminds you of a rawhide square.
I'm not sure if it's a flaw in these particular rawhide bones, or our dog's proclivities, but somehow he has figured out a way to hold the bones between his paws for manipulating them and his paws end up getting knotted with rawhide sediment. I wish this didn't happen. As someone else pointed out, I wish they didn't feel the need to put a stupid tag on each bone. Oh well. I think they are thinking about the resale crowd, so you can't fault them.
Your dog will be happy with their never-ending supply of rawhide. Ours have lasted for months.

If you're looking for quantity, these bones are a good value. However, while they are technically 4-5 inches long, the majority are closer to 4 inches, and that's extreme tip to tip. They are more like two knots. The bones in the picture are definitely deceiving and are obviously the larger size. I also don't like that each bone has it's own label that needs to be removed -excess packaging and waste. Having said that, the bones are high quality -no mess. I have ordered larger rawhides and they were wonderful. These are poor quality and make a mess everywhere because theycrumble. My dog didn't eat for a day after having one of these. Never again !
