Since this was our first attempt at dog grooming, we found the dvd very helpful. The basics were good however a summer cut was not our thing. Not much was shown about the use of clipper combs for longer cuts, we had to take our cockapoos to a former groomer to find out why we were not getting the cut we wanted using the attached combs. The author answered our first e-mail question but our second question was never answered.

I was hoping this would be an informative dvd about how to cut my lively cockapoo a variety of ways, but this dvd was kind of a grim lecture done with a dog that must have been heavily sedated or frozen with fear. The thrill of grooming one's own dog ended up being as exciting as watching the corn grow. The groomer seems to be sincere, but needs somehow to jazz up her presentation, maybe using more than one dog, more action and less talk, a few shots taken outside with examples of different styles, a jazz band...anything to get us out of that bleak room and comatose puppy.

I have a 12 year old Weim who's had arthritis for years (which is in both hips, spine and front legs as well). We added Hip Flex to her regime (supplements, gluc. fish oil, etc) about a year ago on someone's advice, expecting to see no result. Not only does she love the "cherry chews" as we call them, they've actually made an improvement. Her worst hip is less tender and she bears more weight on it now. We won't go without them. I first received this product in a donated gift basket in a silent auction for a dog rescue. I found that my dogs (2) absolutely loved them and I had to track down where to purchase them. (I did find them in the town where I live, but found a better price on Amazon). After reading what was in Hip Flex I knew that this product would be good for my dogs. I give these to my Golden Retrievers every day. They gobble them down and want more (only give required amount to size of dog, per day)

I am so lucky to have found Dermacept. My little 4 yr old Shitz Shu girl has had seasonal allergies since I got her at 2 yrs old. It got so bad her fur was falling out in patches and you can see the raw skin from all the scratching. Not to mention to see & feel the suffering she was going through. I believe in Holistic medicine for my family and it extends to my fur babies. After searching & finding Dermacept on the net, I followed the dosage recommendations and gave her 1 full tablet for first 5 days and then taper down to 1/2 tablet after that. Her symptoms were so severe that I kept her on full dosage for a month and slowly she got better. If you read the web site, they also tell you that it may take a month or more to see results. Holistic medicine or supplements are not like conventional meds, it is a gradual process because it is basically assisting your body to heal itself. Well, when I noticed that the scratching begin to slowly subside, I was so relieved and I have been using Dermacept ever since. What I have learned since then is that you can technically stop giving the supplement when you no longer see grass growing during the coldest winter months, but you must start giving your pet the supplement at least a month in advance before the anticipation of spring plants growing (I had to learn the hard way). This way it will save your little one a lot of unnecessary suffering. $35.00 for a 3 month supply (more if 1/2 dose) is a bargain especially if you compare it to vet bills and the really bad side effects of steroids. I now give Dermacept year round and will may even give it to my other pets as a maintenance vitamin since it is full of antioxidants.
