We bought these to keep our dog from slipping and hurting himself on new very slippery hardwood stairs. The fabric is good, but they failed of their essential purpose b/c they simply will not stay on the dog's feet. I don't mean from the dog pulling or chewing on them; the shoes just come off from walking around, no matter how tightly you affix them. There must be a good dog shoe out there -I know hikers in the Sierra mountains use them for tougher duty than hanging around the house -but these are not the ones.

I was exspecting them to be more then what came in the mail. Is ok for my dogs for short walks on the sidewalk, as for if they are wanting to go on the grass or muddy area be careful because it's all thin fabric except for the little rubber bottoms that slide around the foot.

I guess I didn't read the product description closely. It's a fleece fabric with a patch of rubber material on the bottom. Good for cold weather but not wet weather or snow. That was my own fault. I ordered a medium and they were too big for my Shih-Tzu. Also, my fault.

Our one Pug dog has seasonal allergies in the fall and these boots have helped him quite a bit.
Dogs absorb pollen in the grass through the pads of their feet and when he goes outside even for a quick potty break these boots keep his feet protected.
They stay on nicely even though he gives them lots of shakes. It is quite funny to see him with them on.
I did have to do a bit of training with treats, so that at first every time I put on the boots he got a treat. I did this in the house for several days before I put them on him to go outside. By that time he was used to having them on for a bit and knew a treat was coming.
I do wipe the boots off each time after he comes back inside, plus I wipe off his back and face to remove any other pollen he has picked up as well.
I bought the medium size which are a bit large but workable. Probably the small size would have been a better fit but these still work.

These little booties are wonderful! They are soft, very easy to put on, and not easy for the pooch to take off. They also are a breathable material so any moisture is not held inside. My French Bulldog, who is loaded with allergies, is constantly scratching his sides with his back paws and chewing on his front paws. These booties keep him from causing any damage. He has no trouble moving around in them, and got used to them right away.
