I've been feeding my chocolate Labrador Retriever Avoderm chicken and rice for Adults for a couple of years now. His coat really glows with this dogfood and he feels great, so I'm not unhappy with the results. It also stopped all his 'itching' and allergies. But in the meantime he has developed serious joint problems with his front legs and my husband and I decided to try the specialty version of Avodern for large breed dogs with the additional Omega 3s, chondroiton, and glucosamine. Though our dog loves the flavor, the side affect is a very 'gassy' behavior. I'm not talking an occasional release, but constant, and the smell is so bad it runs both my husband and myself out of the room (and sometimes out of the house--he's a biiiig dog). There's no amount of 'health benefits' worth this kind of negative odor, not to mention if it smells that bad how can it be doing anything good for the dog. So we went back to the original Adult version, and what a blessing as now we can all breathe a pleasurable sigh without gagging.

There isn't anything particularly wrong with the product the dog liked it well enough, but I'm guessing that will be the case with just about any of the bully sticks you'll find here. My issue with the fact that this project is labeled as Bully Stick"s" (plural). You get one one 6 inch stick despite the fact that the product name and picture implies that there are more.Combined with the shipping cost, it's kind of a ripoff for just one stick. Scroll down to the "customers also viewed" area and find yourself one that might cost a dollar or two more, but comes with 5 or 6 sticks instead of 1.

These treats worked with our Yorkie when nothing else was acceptable to her. I break them up to Yorkie-size and carry the chips in my pocket. Our dog knows they are there and will mind commands for a little piece. These are great treats.

Okay, they're Dentastix, not much to say about them except that it's handy not to have to run to the store for dog treats and with Subscribe and Save, they were even less than Target or Petsmart.
Our rat terrier is a rescue with not-so-great teeth. We had his teeth cleaned when we brought him home, but he's not fond of really hard bones. The vet approved giving him Dentastix.
He eats an upscale natural dry food, but I like to give him something to gnaw on and he enjoys these. At his 14 pound weight, he can have 1 or 2 a day, but I usually just break one in half so he can have them more often.
Beware of the SMALL size, they are for dogs over 25 pounds. Be sure to get minis for your extra small friend. :)

I must admit that I didn't really expect the DentaStix to do wonders for my 13-14 yr. old Bearded Collie/Sheepdog mix, but I couldn't have been more wrong! He hates having his teeth cleaned, and his breath will literally knock you over on a bad day. : )So I started giving these treats to him 2-3 times daily and everyone who was aware of his atrocious breath agrees its 100% better! I have even noticed a difference in the coloring of his teeth...which suggests to me that this product's claims of removing tartar buildup are actually true!
Although these treats claim to be for a toy/small dog, they work well for him and me...he's 65 lbs. and has a tendency to make big messes with larger treats!I have two rescued yorkies. Yorkies are notorious for having problems with their teeth. I am unable to get a toothbrush to their back teeth so I give them one of these each day to help keep their teeth clean. Do they help? I really don't know, but I'm not going to stop giving these to them to find out. They absolutely love them. They will "sit" and "stay" for them. They will also "leave it" until I tell them to "go". They are so well trained to "leave it" that I have to insist to get them to grab it. Sometimes my little male gets himself so excited to get one of these, I swear if he had pants on, he'd pee in them. I put one in front of him and one in front of my female and he'll be looking at hers and his back and forth trying to figure out how he can get both of them before she gets hers. She seems to be deaf when I say "go", so I have to hand hers to her so he won't grab it out from under her. Pretty comical and entertaining to watch. Guess I should shoot a video of it so you can enjoy watching them as much as I do.My dog is 15 years old and this product has greatly improved the condition of her teeth and her breath. When I first gave her these she threw up and occasionally still does if she doesn't chew them well but the great majority of the time she's fine and she loves them. I highly recommend this product. Someone said it made their dog fat but my dog has been on these, two a day, for over a year and hasn't gained any weight.We've been buying Dentastix based on our vet's recommendations for 5 years now. Perfect for taking care of your small dog's teeth.

Ours is a rescue dog who is as finicky as we've ever seen... and his breath becomes a problem. Luckily he LOVES Yip Yaps! They are like candy to him and they do give temporary relief of his 'dog-breath'. And our order through Amazon was the least expensive (by far) way to get this product.This product has changed over the years... we don't feel for the better. They used to be denser, crunchier and more to the container. Our dog still enjoys them but does not 'freak out' for them like he used to.

I was a bit skeptical when we first saw these in PetsMart. My dog is still young and has not yet experienced TRUE bad doggie breath, but I'm fighting a war before it begins. She absolutely loved it, and it made her breath smell just like fresh rosemary. Now anytime she is even in the deadest of sleep and she hears that tin jingle she comes running.Also, I've noticed that it doesnt only fight the breath on the spot, but usually we give her 2 at a time, as treats for a trick or two, and we've noticed her breath smells great for atleast 2-3 days

Our dogs still love them and beg for them, but they don't do a thing for their breath. In the past the Yip Yaps were white and had a peppermint smell to them. And now they are brown and have a meaty smell. I really don't like the change that was made. But as I said our dogs still love them. I would no longer call them breath fresheners. If anything, they add to the bad breath.Yip Yaps are difficult to find in our area; and when I do they are expensive. The price was a bit less than what I would pay if I could find and that included S&H. The order came very quickly and I had no problems with the seller. Actually got a discount card to use with my next order! I would definitely check out their store next time I need something for our pets.

My 4 month old lab ate this up in 10 minutes, so the ring did not last long at all. Unfortunately, it gave him terrible diarrhea for the next day. He does have a sensitive stomach, so maybe this is better suited for those dogs with hardiar stomachs and less powerful jaws. I do not recommend this product.

My dog is not the most discriminating when it comes to edible (or not) goodies. Just about everything is good, but 'some treats are more good than others'. Blue Buffalo Bites have been Extremely Well Received at this house. My dog does just a little extra dancing and wiggling when she hears the opening of a Blue Buffalo bag, though if I had to guess I think her response to the salmon flavor is just a little bit more excited.
The treats are a nice size--not too big and not too small (maybe a centimeter square), and if you have a smaller dog the treats could be easily broken into smaller bites. They are soft and, to the human nose, not all stinky. Along the stinky-factor lines these treats are great as they do not produce excess 'aroma' from my dog's back end. Many treats do, but not the Blue Bites.
Great treat and highly recommended!

Yes, you read correctly! I was in PetSmart today, and I was looking for some all-natural cat treats, and ended up talking to a Blue Buffalo rep. She let me in on a little secret. Blue Buffalo doesn't sell cat treats, per se, but she said she'd been feeding her cats these treats, and they gobble them up! Well, I took her advice and grabbed a bag of them. I used Blue Buffalo treats like these to reward my Yellow Lab puppy during the potty training phase. Don't know if it was the treats or all the love and patience I gave him but he was entirely housebroken within one week after bringing him home. Now when he hears the lid come off of the treat jar or a bag rattle that he just knows has treats in it, he's right beside me, tail-a-wagging and "a-woofing" (Not barking. You dog owners know what I mean!)Blue Buffalo products may cost a llitle more but according to their labels, they aren't made with any animal by-products which can, according to numerous articles published in recognized and well respected pet and vetrinary magazines, include animal fecal waste and/or other hazardous materials not removed before processing as well as other "fillers" that are detremental to your pets' health. Another big plus is the fact that Blue Buffalo products are made right here in the U.S.A. rather than in China where who knows what goes in or under what conditions pet food products are processed. Remember the cheap-to-use melamine additive (filler) found not too long ago in pet food products made in China that sickened and even caused the death of hundreds of beloved pets? Or the dried chicken breast meat treats that were contaminated with high levels of ecoli?
My Lab has also given his approval to other Blue Buffalo products such as their healthy treat bars, chew bones, dry kibble and he's absolutely wild about their canned beef stew. Not all items are available at amazon.com but we're hopeful that the line of Blue Buffalo products will be expanded soon.

I have an almost-17-year-old female Beagle named Pie -as in American Pie. As you can imagine, she's more than a bit stiff in the joints these days. I started her on Glucosamines/Chondroitin Sulfates a couple of years ago, even though she didn't show any signs of stiffness then; I was just being proactive with her. I can't remember where I first located and purchased JOINT EZEplus; it was somewhere local. She had been on the stuff from the vet and was doing fine on it. I liked the price and the ingredients, and decided to give it a try late last summer. I was amazed at the improvement in Pie! She loves the "treats" that she gets twice a day, and I saw a major improvement in her movement within three weeks of changing her over to JOINT EZEplus. She will continue to stay on it, and I'm about to start my other almost-15-year-old Beagle on it. And soon enough, my Yellow Lab will have to join the Beagle girls on it too.
I highly recommend the addition of JOINT EZEplus to any older dog's diet, to assist in maintaining the health of the joints and in keeping our friends healthy and happy into their old age. Pie is doing great, and Missey will be starting on JOINT EZEplus as soon as the next order arrives.

My 12 year old chow mix has been taking this supplement for the past five years ago when I started noticing her having a little difficulty getting up. The change is dramatic. I purchased this Richell kennel because it was the size I needed for my 35 lb sheltie. It was great until she ended up snapping the plastic connectors and pretty much destroying the cage. Do not purchase this if your dog is big on chewing. I had the wire and wood one for my older dog and ended up getting a second one for my chewer. She had not "messed with" the metal bars. Overall I do like the Richell products.
