I refer to these as puppy crack. My dog is very picky about treats -he won't eat treats that are too chewy or that are too processed. He loves these snaps and will eat them all day.

I initially tried the Primal buffalo chunks, but I just couldn't break them into small enough pieces. These snaps break off into perfectly sized training bits very easily. They are dry and leave no residue, so I keep them in my pocket all day. These treats are sturdy enough that they don't crumble in my pocket, so I can break them into small pieces and leave them in my pocket ready to go. This allows me to reward my dog whenever he does something right, so he never gets the idea that he should only listen to me after I've gotten the treat bag out.

The down side is that these treats a insanely expensive. Pro-Treat freeze-dried liver treats are a little cheaper and somewhat better for training because my dog doesn't have to chew them. However, they crumble to dust as soon as you put them in a pocket or a treat bag, so their use in the field is limited.

I'm lucky enough to live near a raw food co-op that allows me to get home-made freeze-dried liver treats for half the cost that Primal sells them for. The only downside is that they have a stronger smell, so I don't like having them in my pocket as much, but for the price I can't complain. If you live near a co-op I would suggest you see if they have something similar. Otherwise, Primal Liver snaps are a great training option.

My hamsters actually don't seem to care for the wood chews on this thing. However, we can unscrew the bottom and attach other chews and treats to it. My hamsters prefer the Ware Mineral Charm Chews. I put them on this Treat-K-Bob to keep them off the ground -more sanitary that way.

I don't know what the bell is there for other than looks. I hang it low to the ground so the hamster can reach the chews without climbing and the bell just sits on the floor of the cage. Even when I hang it high, the hamsters don't play with it.

The Treat-K-Bob is nifty for hanging other treats, but the chews it comes with are not exciting and the bell gets in the way.

I purchased these to have in my pet hamster's cage. I put apple wood sticks on them or small edible treats. Easy to refill and good for several different kinds of caged small pets.

My hampster always chews on her cage, even though i have wood blocks and twigs in her cage for her to chew, so I bought this thinking it would stop her. It doesn't. She does chew on this, but she still chews on her cage. It does stop her from chewing on her cage sometimes though which I am thankful for.

I bought three of these, I have four cages of chinchillas, and only one of them has retained the nut on the end that keeps it all together. We removed the bells, and the end nut got lost in the bedding never to be found again. the chins loved the chewing toys, we put on lava bites, wood, etc and it was a great thing until the nuts came off.

I had high hopes for the Jolly Egg. My boy was having fun with his "Best Ball 10 inch" and I thought this one would keep him moving because of the shape.

And it worked...for a while.

I can't say it is a failure, but it definitely isn't for a large dog with a wide/large mouth. This would eliminate Pits and Bullies. And it's a shame because it was a real energy drainer while it lasted.

If you have a dog who likes to chase and/or play with balls, AND doesn't have a large mouth, then this should work great for you. Otherwise look somewhere else.

Use the video to compare with you dog.

Good luck.

UPDATE March 12, 2012: It's still holding it's shape. It's really beat up, but he hasn't broken it yet. Bumped the rating up to 4 stars.

18 Jolly Pets Jolly Egg "Dog" Toys were delivered to In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center by kind donors (including myself) for their 2012 Easter Celebration. The tigers and lions LOVED their toys! There are now several holes in the eggs, but over all they really great did considering they were tossed, gripped, and chewed on by the big cats. Despite the "licking" they received from the animals, the eggs were a lot of fun for all and I would recommend this item for future dog or "cat" use!

I work at a doggie daycare facility, and we have one of these toys that was donated by a customer. We've had it for several months at this point, and it is still going strong only a few bite/scratch marks, but no punctures. Most toys fall apart within a week. The only disadvantage is that not all dogs are interested, so only buy it if you know you have a dog with a good chase drive.

I've got a small poodle-mix. I've tried almost every premium food for my dog. With completely grain free foods, I've seen the coat dry out and become dull. Solid Gold produced too much gas. Canidae ALF and grain-free went too stale for her taste in less than two weeks. The other foods I've attempted simply were rejected.

Wellness Small Breed to me is a miracle. She will even eat it without having to load it up with cheese. Her coat is a shiny silver. She's actually grown a healthy undercoat. Like most little dogs with allergies, I've noticed the eye discharge is minimal compared to other foods.

So for any super-finicky small dog parent, I would definitely recommend this kibble.

I have a three year old yorkipoo who has always been extremely picky about his food. We had some success (by "some success" I mean he'd eat half of what he was supposed to) with the Prarie brand by Natures Variety, but he always had runny eye problems and had trouble keeping weight on. My mother's vet recommended the Wellness brand for her dog to lose weight and suggested I try the small breed formula for my picky dog. I'm so glad I tried it! Since switching my dog to the Wellness small breed formula my dog eats every single piece. I don't have to sit there and encourage him to eat. He willingly eats the whole bowl and cannot wait for his next meal. I'm convinced that I could feed him 5 times a day and he'd still eat every last piece because its just that good. I have never seen him so excited to eat! On top of this his coat is as soft as ever and his watery, running, cloudy eyes are completely clear. He has the same amount of small dog energy but doesn't seem as anxious when I leave (apparently filler in dog foods can cause anxiety in sensitive dogs). I'm amazed at how great this product is working for my little man. Highly recommend for those with picky, small breed dogs.

My Shih Tzu's have allergies, they licked and about chewed their paws off. Spent $$$$'s at the vet for pills, shots, etc..I did research and came across Wellness and I am soo happy I did. It is all natural food, no corn, wheat, soy.. No additives.. Small pieces just right for small breeds. I highly recommend it! and so do my babies! They love it!

Ok let me clarify first of all, why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5.

If it were to up to me alone, this food is 5/5.

The ONLY reason why I took 1 star off, is because my dogs hate the taste :(

I have a Pomeranian and a Maltese. Both of them would often just sniff the food, and walk away. They will eventually eat it when they are really hungry, but they just look very disinterested in the food overall. I have the same issue with Blue Buffalo.

However, when I alternate them to Orijen, or Taste of the Wild, or Acana, or Fromm, they pretty much gobble them down instantly. (I tend to alternate around different brands and flavors just to make sure they are not deficient in a specific nutrient/mineral).

This *small* problem is NOT universal. I have friends whose dogs love this food, and I have seen dogs that absolutely won't touch Wellness. Every dog has its preferences, so its best to experiment around.

However, I like feeding my dogs WELLNESS most.

Their poop is solid and doesn't stink, and based upon the ingredients list, it seems really good!

No by-products

No corn

No fillers (well except for tomato pomace, which some people consider it as a filler. I personally don't)

Omega 3 and 6 levels are on the higher side (which is a big plus!) compared to other brands/foods!!! ^_^

I have fed about 2 bags so far, and my dogs haven't had any health problems.

Only thing I wish the product can improve, is to maybe include Chicken Fat, instead of using Canola Oil. That will probably make the taste much better for my dogs making them much more interested in it. Canola oil is a cheaper alternative, but its really not a biggie.

This is definitely something I recommend to include in your feeding rotation!

On the sidenote: if you do not want to risk having a 15 pound bag of food that your dog hates, contact Wellness for a sample! They will send a 4oz packet to you, so you can "test" if your dog likes it.

I have two Basenjis both of who are under breed weight/size and who have corn allergies. I cannot stress enough how awesome this food has been for them. Their appetites are up, they are putting on weight, they have more energy where their other food (which was also on the Top Ten Dog Foods List) made them sluggish and caused one to lick a hole in herself. This food has given me my girls back and I recommend it highly to anyone who has issues with small breeds with allergies. I could go on and on about the differences but honestly, buy a bag and try it. There is nothing I can say that you won't see for yourself.

My 3 -yr old yorkie-poo had a habit of scratching her front armpits till they bleed. Vet said it could be a food allergy and put her on claritin and steroid spray which helped, but did solve the issue. So I went to Amazon and found books on canine food allergies and diet changes. Unfortunately, I couldn't spare the time or expense to do a "total Raw" diet for my dog. Really, who has that kind of time, money, and freezer storage??? So the next best thing was a grain-free approach, since most canine allergies are related to grains...wild dogs aren't vegetarians! Wells Earthborn Holistic chain offers the highest quality proteins and carbs for your pet. Google dog food reviews and you will see the ratings. My pup loves all the flavors they offer!! I'm happy to say this food has eliminated her itching, improved her coat, provides her with tons of energy, and makes bathroom cleanups outside easier!

When it comes to chews my corgis are picky. That's probably because they get a lot of raw meaty bones. I was hesitant to try these, but the ingredient list sold me. Turns out that both my boys love them! And, the medium Health Bone is the perfect size for a corgi.

The ingredients of Health Bone are superior to the other manufactured chews I've looked into. They haven't caused any stomach upsets. And, the dogs think they're terrific. The only downside to Health Bones is the price. But, I'm willing to pay a little more for for a high quality chew made in the U.S.

Five stars for project quality, two for inventory control/quality control. We've ordered these before and been happy. This last time we ordered two boxes, to stock up for our two greyhounds. One box was what we ordered. When we opened the second box, however, we discovered it was a different product (same outer box). Our local natural pet store agreed to take the box in exchange and order the bullies for us from now on.

We like to call them cigars, and our dog just likes them. They don't stink like the "smoked" bully sticks, so we don't mind that she eats them inside the house. In the summer, when Pepper is inclined to want to stay outside past her bedtime, we can entice her inside by offering her a "cigar!" -she will stop avoiding us and finally come inside. They just smell very mildly like beef, and only if you're quite close (Pepper is a very tolerant doggie :-). She always wants a drink of water after finishing one. Odor-free is the ONLY type I will buy, and Bully Sticks On Line has been my supplier for over two years. The price drifts up, but that's to be expected I guess.

SADLY, I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT THESE MOO BULLY STICKS ARE NOT 100% DIGESTIBLE! MY DOG ALMOST DIED AFTER A PIECE DID NOT DISSOLVE IN HER STOMACH. My 3 dogs loved these Moo Bully sticks. I had been giving them to my dogs for over a year with no incident. I was giving these because from all I had researched on this product they claimed to be 100% SAFE AND 100% DIGESTIBLE. I would always take small pieces away from the dogs that I felt could possibly cause a chocking problem. I always had plenty of water close by. One day I noticed my dog, Lily, was having very loose stools and that were jelly like in consistency. This same day she stopped eating and began vomiting. I immediately rushed her to my veterinarian. Upon his physical exam he noted that her abdomen was hard and distended. He wanted me to leave her with him so he could do a x-ray. He did and found that she had a blockage in her stomach! He then started a series of Barium x-rays to watch the blockage to see if it was going to pass. Over a 4 hour period of watching and repeating these barium x-rays it not only showed that the blockage was not passing, but the "item" causing the blockage was swelling in size, absorbing the stomach fluids. I was told he had to do emergency surgery to get this blockage out of her ASAP. What he found in her stomach was most definitely a piece of the Moo Bully stick! It had not digested as claimed by the manufacture if swallowed. My veterinarian told me if he had not brought Lily in as promptly as I did, to remove this blockage, she most definitely would have died! He told me that this was not 100% digestible as the manufacture had claimed it to be. If it had been, it would have dissolved in her stomach! lily had major abdominal exploratory surgery that lasted over 3hours, to remove this piece the piece of Moo Bully stick !She was hospitalized afterwards for 4 nights and 5 days. She almost did not make. Lily refused eat for 5 days. She therefore lost a lot of weight, became very frail and lethargic. Thank god, my veterinarian was fabulous. He was so concerned for Lily, that he actually stayed by her side at night, every night making sure he did everything he could to pull her through this. Once home she was weak and could barely walk. I tried to get her to eat and she refused. I was offering her cooked chicken liver and even this did not even entice her to eat. Finally, the next day, she did begin to nibble on some food. It was a very slow healing process and took Lily over a month until she was herself again. The thought of losing Lily tore me apart. Watching the pain and suffering she went through cannot be put into words. I felt so helpless. It was nothing but a pure hell that she and I went through for weeks on end. I was also feeling so guilty because I gave her the MOO Bully stick. You see, I only feed my dogs the very best, high quality organic dog foods. I never ever would give my dogs anything that was not the best and the safest. I never gave my dogs raw hide chewies or greenies( Any dog owner that cares about the welfare of their a dog knows how dangerous and deadly these products are) I started giving my dogs the Moo bully sticks because everything I had read and researched lead me to believe not only were they safe, 100% DIGESTIBLE, but that they came from Brazil cattle that only grazed on non-chemically treated grass, were not feed any hormones and drank from fresh natural spring water. There was nothing harmful in this product. So I stared giving my dogs these MOO bully sticks. I am a very dedicated, caring, responsible animal lover and owner. I wrote letters to the companies I purchased the Moo Bully sticks form as well as the manufacturer. Only one retailer responded to my letter by referring me to the manufacturer. The manufacturer of these Moo Bully Sticks, " Free Range Dog Products " totally ignored both of my certified letters. So many owners have no clue that their dogs may have become sick or died due to a piece of a Bully stick that did not digest. What if their vet missed the symptoms? What if they never took their dog to a vet after becoming ill and the dog died? What if they never discovered what killed their dog? Not everyone can afford to pay for surgery on their dogs, x-rays, lab work, medicines, and a hospital stay. My vet bill was almost $5,000.00 my vet even discounted most of what he did, as well not charge me for everything. In fact, he felt so bad, that he did not charge me for staying by her side for all through the night, on those 4 nights. What if a dog died or got very ill when ingesting a piece of these Bully sticks and never came forth to inform the public? Maybe mine is the very first case? But all it should take is one, to satisfy anyone not to ever buy this product and give it their beloved dogs. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT EVER GIVE YOUR DOGS ANY TYPE OF A BULLY STICK PRODUCT! PASS THIS INFO ALONG TO ANYONE THAT YOU KNOW HAS A DOG. YOU MIGHT JUST SAVE A DOGS LIFE.

Want HDP 6 inch Standard Bully Sticks (90 pack) Discount?

I also purchased these last year and while the price has gone up, at least the product quality stayed consistent. The count was accurate and they arrived in a mesh bag that allowed full airflow within the shipping box. These are low odor and decently thick sticks. Just wished they cost less but by now, everyone and their mother is on to bully sticks. I've got a 50lb red nosed APBT who just loves them. She gets one stick about every other day and it lasts her for about 6-8 minutes of bliss.

By comparison I also purchased a 50 count "regular" sized pack from a different vendor. While less expensive, they were only half as (pencil) thick. I can fit 20 of the HDP standard sized sticks in a single quart ziplock bag and it's full. By comparison, all 50 of the "regular" sticks fit in a quart bag with room for more. Going forward, I'll continue using HDP as the quality is solid and "standard" size is more accurately represented. Just hope the price stops climbing.

I bought one of these while in Aruba, to bring back a rescued animal. This thing is fantastic for both plane rides and car trips. It expands so the animal has more room and can easily see. Also easy to open to slip a treat or pet. It also collapses and zips together when not in use, altho that part is a little tricky for me (was never good with rubiks cubes) !

These treats are tasty for dogs, and mine loved them. The problem is, that they are now made in China, with Chinese ingredients. These treats specifically were named in an news report as one of many types of chicken treats, chicken jerky, and other types of treats made with Chinese ingredients. The ingredients in China, and chicken jerky type treats have been linked to many deaths of dogs, and many more getting extremely ill after eating these treats coming out of China. Some dogs do fine with them, but others get very sick, while others get even sicker, and die. You may be fine for a time feeding these Chinese treats, UNTIL YOUR POOR PET ISN'T! Do yourself a favor, and avoid all treats with Chinese ingredients, made in China, and avoid these types of treats. Anyone remember the 2007 dog food epidemic of dog deaths? They were linked to Chinese ingredients. The FDA hasn't said anything about these treats, because they weren't able to narrow these types of treats down to an specific ingredient. They did recently pull some brand names from shelves after many years of people fighting to have the FDA do something about these Chinese treats. So, don't think that because the FDA hasn't said anything they are fine. These companies can be very tricky with their labeling too. Instead of saying made in China, they will say distributed by some company with an U.S. address. So, if they say distributed by company so, and so out of anywhere, USA they are made in China. I thought these treats were made in the USA, and I'm pretty sure when they first came out they were, but now they aren't. Please don't take the chance with your dogs health, and return these treats until they start using ingredients that haven't been linked to so many deaths of family pets. Don't end up being the one, that has to hear about this the hard way.

I own The Bubbler, The Petmate Fountain (Fresh Flow), The Drinkwell Original, The Drinkwell Platinum and now, The Drinkwell 360. Of them all, my cat loves the Drinkwell line the best. (I think it runs the cleanest and most silently.) And in my opinion the Platinum is the best of that line.

The pump in my Platinum died right before Christmas (after 2 yrs). And my cat, who adores his fountain, was very upset. (This is a cat who will travel all the way from another room if the fountain goes off to see what happened. And he'll sit there hitting it to make "it go.")

Anyway, I thought to buy a replacement pump from the manufacturer, but their shopping feature was down for yearend inventory and wasn't going to be back up till early January. While at the site, I noticed the 360, thought it very cute so I ordered one. (Not there, nor here, but elsewhere) I've had it about 2.5 weeks now.

My cat loves it. At first, I had the 3 spout ring on it, and he was rather hesitant. I don't think he "got it". I then switched to the one spout ring and then he remembered. And he was right over there. There's no problem there. It streams just as he likes. But there are problems.

One problem is that circular design. Unlike with the other Drinkwell designs, there isn't much distance between where the stream hits the still water and the edge of the bowl. So, it splashes onto the floor. Not a whole lot, but after a few hours, you can have quite a puddle. You definitely will need to either use it outdoors or with a mat. There is a valve to control the strength of the stream. A thinner stream produces less splash. But if your pet is like my cat, the stronger stream is preferred. By the way, the more streams you use, the weaker the flow. However, when I used the 3 stream ring, the streams were weaker, but there was still a splash.

Another problem is that it doesn't hold very much water. I believe it lists a gallon. With the Platinum, I can go two weeks in winter and about 10 days in summer before I have to refill. With the 360, I had to refill after a week. (There are marks for Max fill and Min fill. I imagine Min fill is the amount needed to maintain the pump. Awesome new feature.). I have only 1 cat using it. I would guess someone with multiple pets would have to refill even more often.

A third problem is the filter. Recommended duration for filter use is 2 weeks. For the others in the Drinkwell line, it's a couple of months at least. And because of the filter's design, you will likely have to purchase the branded ones unlike others in the line where replacement filters are similar to those used in aquariums. I don't believe the filter is necessary for operation, but if you're like me, you will want to use filter. Like others in the line, filters are about ten bucks for 3, but if you're buying them 3-4 times as often, the cost could add up.

The final problem for me was the way the cone "locks" onto the bowl. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but a plain old twist doesn't lock or unlock it. It takes a bit of frustrating effort. Mainly, because I haven't discovered what the "secret" to the twist is. I twist, I turn, I push down and twist and turn, nothing happens. Until something "magically" does.

On the plus side, the 360 is much easier to refill. Just pour water into the bowl. No taking anything apart. (Generally speaking, you can do this with the others in the line too as a temporary fix.)

It's also much easier to clean. Nowhere near as many nooks and crannies as in the others in the line. There are few parts the bowl, the cone, the spout connected to the pump and a ring for the pump cord, the pump (which comes a part to clean like the others), the filter holder, its top, the spout ring and control "valve". Nothing it very small, and nothing except maybe the pump and the filter holder needs a brush. Most could likely be cleaned with the rough side of a scrub sponge.

Overall, it is VERY cute, and the multi-stream rings could be beneficial to someone with multiple pets. But since I have only one cat who uses the fountain anyway (my other cat prefers a bowl), it's a very expensive novelty feature I may not get make much use of. All in all, I prefer The Platinum.

It's worth noting the pump in the 360 and in the Platinum is the same. Except the 360 has an end cap instead of the control valve. I would imagine as long as the end cap is undamaged, you could use the same pump, just replace the control valve with the end cap.

That said, while I haven't heard any pump/motor noise, the stream of water is VERY loud when on max flow. The first couple of days, I found myself checking the sinks to make sure I had turned off the water. This isn't a bad thing, just something to get used to.

The design has 4 FLAWS. My solution may help others though. My cats do love the fountain.

One, the neck is too thin to accept a decent sized filter. The filters are clogged (w/slime, not hair!) within days. Even "without" a filter it CLOGS TOO FAST. Cleaning and putting in a NEW filter did not fully resolve the blocked flow. When new, I could hear the waterfall from across the house. After only 1 month, I CANNOT get that flow back!!!

2nd Flaw, the motor is quiet yes, but it also CLOGS too fast...with slime, not hair!!!! My fountain is only a month old and I cannot get the heavy flow back. I have cleaned with soap/water and also vinegar. I do not see hair...I see/feel slimy sludge.

3rd Flaw, it's hard to pick it up when full...no handles or rubber grips.

4th Flaw, even though the cord detaches for cleaning, it comes apart too close to the plug, so you still can't plug it in behind furniture w/o having to move the furniture to disconnect.

RESOLUTION for clogging: TAKE OFF (leave it off!) THE FANCY SPOUT AND JUST POP THE FILTER DOWN THE NECK AND LEAVE IT. There is no "fountain" flow, but the pets won't mind. They still drink from the flow over the 1" neck. Also, every few days twist off the whole neck part and WIPE OFF the slimy sludge FROM THE MOTOR SIDES. It blocks with just a few pet hairs, so dive in and wipe it off. Every few weeks let vinegar/water run through the motor and filters to clean the slim. DO NOT let the pets drink the vinegar water! Just for cleaning!!!

This is the best fountain ever, and I've looked around. I made the mistake of first buying the Petmate fountain. When I got it, it was so incredibly noisy, the cats freaked out by it, it was so loud I could not stand listening to it from the other room! Thank goodness I bought it at Amazon, because they take returns so easily. I went & spent the extra $ and bought the 360. It is extremely quiet, and the bravest of my cats went right to it to drink. It could be prettier as far as color, but it blends in fine. I have 5 indoor cats so I am happy now as I believe this is the best I can buy my babies. I also own a small pet boutique and would definitely sell these if I knew could compete with Amazons best price! I think it is very well priced overall. The only thing I would love is a chocolate brown or mocha color optionthe fountain's plastic is a speckled grey on white, kind of 80's looking!

The Drinkwell 360 looks good on paper and will likely run great the first time you plug it in. The positive reviews from new owners on here underscore the need for people to wait at least a month before reviewing any new product.

The Drinkwell 360 is a high maintenance waterer with a badly underpowered pump. We have had two pumps fail. The manufacturer recommends frequent cleaning of the fountain and pump, including removal of the outer casing and flushing out the inside of the pump itself. The filter component needs replaced every two weeks.

We use highly pre-filtered water in all of our waterers and clean the fountains regularly. Despite this, the 360 pumps dropped in pressure output very quickly after only a few days. Cleaning did not help. Eventually the water just dribbled down the center fixture. The pumps were underpowered and two failed after less than two months. The constant requirement to change the filter more often than any other waterer we have used also became costly very quickly. Obviously it did provide a convenient, frequent source of profit for the manufacturer, so it's a plus for them.

pros: will likely run great for the first few days

cons: very high maintenance frequent extensive cleaning required apparently poor quality pumps frequent costly filter changes

Buyer beware.

Updated 09/16/2012 We now own a Pioneer Pet Big Max. It isn't perfect, but we've had it for over a year and in my opinion it is a much better product than any of the Drinkwell 360 models.

They don't tell you that you need to replace the filter at least every 2 weeks. I have 3 cats, and by the end of the 2nd week, there is no water flow. Filters are about $11 for a three pack...and that adds up! I would give this product 5 stars if I didn't have to replace the filters so much.
