My dog, Penny, is allergic to all the ingredients in traditional store-bought dog food (chicken, beef, corn, wheat...). Penny is also a finicky eater, so it's difficult to entice her. But Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea is something she'll eat, and I'm pretty sure that it has reduced her allergic symptoms (but not eliminated them). My guess is that she is also allergic to environmental factors. I can't say that I would eat this stuff, but Penny seems to like it.
That's important, because Penny works hard doing important work. She is a Cockapoo; her looks lean toward the Cocker side (unusual for Cockapoos; they generally lean toward the Miniature Poodle side). But. she has the Miniature Poodle smarts! Within three days of coming to her forever home with me, she began communicating "something" I had to figure out. It took me several weeks to "get it" -she knew that I have a severe inner ear condition called Meniere's Disease, which causes disabling vertigo, nausea and vomiting. It has disabled me from the workforce and, before Penny came along, it had caused me to hole myself up at home because I was afraid to go out walking or with the car, not knowing if an episode would come on. But by the sixth week of living with me, Penny made it clear that she could give me a 2to 2-1/2-hour warning that a Meniere's episode was coming on! Since she "taught" me that she could do this, she has never been wrong and she has never missed an episode -and I have a lot of episodes! That's one smart cookie and one hard-working Cockapoo. She deserves Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea to keep her allergies at bay as much as possible. Penny likes it, so Penny will get it. Thanks, Dogswell, for Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea.

I can't say enough good things about this dog food. In fact, I have reviewed the Nutrisca Chicken and Chick Pea in the past and can now say, both my dogs a German Shepherd Dog and Welsh Corgi love the Salmon variety as well. Both the Chicken and Salmon are very high quality dog foods that my dogs thrive on. Before Nutrisca, I tried many high quality, limited ingredient brands but with all the others, one or both of my dogs did not tolerate them and suffered from allergic reactions, yeast issues, skin rashes, loose stools, etc. Within a few weeks of feeding this dog food, both of my dogs developed clear skin, good stools and shiny coats and I know they are getting proper nutrition. I highly recommend this grain free and potato free product for anyone struggling with a dog allergy. Give it try, like I did. It is expensive, but in the end, with all the ailments gone, it pays for itself and my dogs are healthy and happy. It is definitely worth the price and I have found I can feed a little less because of the nutrition value and quality.

Finally a food that took care of my dog's skin allergy. Gotta love reviews because it was a review that said not only to choose a food that was grain free but also important for skin allergies was to choose a food that was potato free. This food is both and my dog's skin allergy has cleared completely and has stayed clear since. She's happier and so am I.

This is the best food I have found for my cocker spaniel's skin allergies. She was having autoimmune and yeast infections causing crusty spots, flaky skin, and ear problems. I investigated several brands, and even cooked her meals for a while. She has been on this food for about 3 months and all her skin problems have cleared up. In addition, she was having excessive panting which my vet said was anxiety, but she has not had a panting episode since being on this food. It's expensive, but compared to the vet bills and a healthy pet, it's worth it.

The best dog food so far!!! I have tried so many natural dog foods and many either do not improve the dogs health or go out of business. My dog has diabetes & the vet put him on a expensive prescription "poor quality" food that I can only buy through him & the dogs diabetes is still not under control after almost 2 years. My pug had patches of hair missing which after only 2 weeks of Nutrisca has come back in full & shiny. He looks like a brand new pup. I highly recommend trying this brand.
