I bought these for my cat. She is picky about treats and won't eat anything with junk in it. I had tried several other brands but the pieces were often very hard and unchewable with lots of "dust" in the package that was wasted. These pieces are uniform in texture and never too hard. The pieces are nice and big, so I break them up a bit for my cat as a treat after she gets her blood pressure medicine. They truly make the medicine go down better. Highly recommended.

My dog won a bag of these in his obedience class the first time we tried them; soon the cat discovered them and now she begs me for them daily. I like these because they are completely natural and nothing but salmon. I don't generally think of feeding fish to dogs but honestly I don't think there is a dog or cat out there that can resist them. I have to ration these or they would all be gone the first time I opened the bag. They are great for training treats because they are freeze dried and don't make a mess in your pocket or pouch and your dog will definitely pay attention to you in anticipation of receiving them. My old greyhound (10 yrs) loves this stuff. I mix four cubes of it into his regular food and he comes quickly and eats all his meals eagerly. Before we added these salmon treats he skipped meals and was definitely not eager to eat when he did eat. He was losing weight slowly.

I have been battling cat vomit for the last couple of years. I have tried many foods (Iams, Newman's Own, HALO Spot, etc.). My cats would either not eat it or would vomit several times a week.

I found myself in a long period of unemployment and had to try to reduce expenses. I'd been feeding my cats premium cat foods but decided this was an area I could possibly reduce expenses but still feed a good quality cat food. My female cat, Mistique, was having problems with blood in her stool. I tried adding canned food to her diet, which helped, but didn't solve the problem completely and was expensive and making her fat to give it to her everyday. I did some research on the internet before giving in and taking her to the vet and found out that this can be caused by harsh grains like corn in the pet food. I switched her and my other cat to this food and the problem went a way. Both of my cats are more energetic now and their fur is super soft. My male cat is more behaved, probably due to having steady protein in his system rather than corn which turns to sugar giving him a sugar hi. Also my cats used to go for the dog's food because it smelled better and we had a hard time keeping them out of it. Now my cats snub the dog food and enjoy only their cat food. I love the price compared to most natural cat foods it's a real good deal.A note about switching pet food: don't expect your cat to immediately go for the new food without transitioning. You have to slowly introduce the new food mixed with the old. Reduce the amount of old food each week until there is nothing left but the new food.
Update: My cats have been on the new food for 2 months and have stopped having hairballs completely. They continue to have very good health from it.
Update: My cats have been on this food for 8 months now. One of the perks has been needing less cat litter. Because there's less junk in their food there's less waste and less scooping. 1 large box of cat litter now lasts me a month for both cats.

and my stray, Jolson, I took in last November I really wanted foods I could IDENTIFY, know & approve what the ingredients were in. For tinned he liked the Wellness right off the bat!For dry they are really pricey and I saw this EVOLVE bag at walmart ingredients sounded Good went online looking for reviews & found Cat Food Reviews.com. It sounded pretty good. Yes No food is perfect but overall it seemed a popular choice.
So I went back and picked it up; 15lb for $20 (the other walmart by me it was $24). Mixed it with his Purina for the next 5 days and as I kept increasing it he kept eating less!.........JUST PICKING OUT THE PURINA!!

I am very familiar with different types of cat foods and what constitutes quality. I saw this and thought I would give it a try based on the ingredients list vs. the price.I have two male cats roughly seven years of age. They are both a little portly-one more so over the other.
I am aware that Friskies is basically crack for the kittehs, and other lower brand kitty foods as well compare to a bowl of Doritos. So with that in mind assuming this cat food has lower calories with better ingredients I have given it a go hoping that it will help with their weight and help my wallet compared to the brands sold exclusively at pet stores.
Day one: Both cats wandered over to their food bowls. They both smelled the new food. They both walked away.
Day two: I have seen neither cat eat and they are both crying as if someone has pulled a limb off one of them. Neither wants to eat this food. Both cats will not stop with their incessant crying. Both sit in front of their food bowls that are clearly full and fresh-and untouched. Both cats continue to cry. I wonder how long they plan on striking. I think like humans they will eat no matter what, and maybe this is an adjustment period compared to say a human switching from potato chips to carrots. They will eventually force themselves to eat it. Does it taste and smell that bad? I think they are thinking to themselves, "what is this @#$% in the food bowl?" Must I submit the kittehs to torture like this? I have attempted to add a little water and heat the food with only negative results thinking this may bring out an aroma that was not there previously.
Day Three: The fatter one looks lethargic and just lays there. I have seen neither cat eat. Possibly they have been eating at night, but there has only been significant changes in their water levels as I have been replacing it a lot. The dry food remains untouched. I do believe they are living off water at this point. By the evening hours I give in and feed the kittehs some canned cat food. The canned food is attacked as if it is the only food left on the entire planet.
I feel as though I have wasted my money. I must go back to giving the kittehs the other food, regardless of cost. They simply will not eat-whatever this is. I debated donating the food to an animal shelter, but then at the risk of torturing yet another innocent victim I have decided it belongs in the trash.

I ordered a tube because my dog was having problems with the skin on his belly and inner legs. The first thing I noticed that I didn't like was that it was more of a liquid than a gel. It was too thin and did not adhere to the area it was to treat without me rubbing to make sure it didn't run all over the place. While it provided relief from scratching, it did not clear up the problem, and I used the whole tube. I had better luck with Carmex Healing lotion. I would not recommend this product nor will I buy it again.

We had purchased a "Chase-it" that was made prior to acquisition by Kong and were very pleased with that product. Unfortunately, Kong's version is a major disappointment! The wand is significantly shorter than the original, making it difficult to engage a dog without running quickly yourself. The size of the wand means shorter, jerkier movements with the "animal" too quickly caught by your dog. Additionally, the Velcro strap doesn't hold the stuffed toy as well as the original. Kong may have saved a few cents in production, but the Chase-it is not near as good as the original.

The two pieces of the pole do not stay together. I am super disappointed. I have now duct-taped the pieces together but that does not work well either. Stay away from this it is not at all worth the money.

truly are mammoth sized! i have 3 pit bulls and they love these, and the price for 6 versus individual is really worth it. i gave them 3 of the bones 2 months ago. The smallest of the 3 has end nubs chewed off and then the middle shaft broken down into 3 smaller bones, the middle sized one is down to the middle section, and the largest one they are still working on chewing the giant ends. and I still have 3 more waiting as Christmas presents. All other bones and toys get mostly ignored for these and they often bring one to bed with them. Will certainly be buying again for my big chewers

I have a 78lb lab that loves antler chews and couldn't pass up this deal compared to the big box store prices. But I wasn't impressed by the size when I received it.. It measured only about 5 1/2 inches and was only a 1/3 of a split antler vs the description noting 6 inches long and the picture depicting is a 1/2 antler split.. Because of this I can't give 4 or 5 stars. But the Quality is great, has lasted a long time, the antler seems fresh and my pup loves it. Which are the important things. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, but I would set proper expectations because the item isn't quite as described in the ad.

First, my dog. He is a pointer/lab mix that weighs about 55lbs and he is a chewer. I would say he tends to chew aggressively, but he doesn't have great jaw strength. He's had a rubber bone for months now and it shows few signs of falling apart. I've given him bones from the butcher shop and he enjoys them but he was never able to crack the bone.Second, antler chew toys. I have noticed the same difference in antler density that Chasing Our Tails claims to exist. Moose seem to be the most dense followed by deer then elk. Austin first cleans the marrow out of the antler if it's split. He cannot crack the non-split antlers which limits his interest in non-split antlers. The split moose antler I gave him showed virtually no signs of wear after three weeks (minus the marrow). next i gave him a split deer antler which he was able to gnaw down to a chocking hazard in about a month. These elk are his favorite. Only once has he crack a piece off the elk split antler.
Third, know your dog. I have read a lot of the negative reviews about these antlers and antler in general as dog treats. The biggest problem with these reviewers is they believed the line about "splinter-proof" natural bone chew toys. Chicken and cow bones can be cracked, or "splintered", into long slender pieces with pointed ends that are dangerous to dogs. It is a lie that antlers will not crack into to long splinters. The truth is most dogs are not strong enough to crack antlers because antlers are of higher density than cow bones. But these antler chews are great... if you know your dog's limits. Aggressive or not, if your dog is a powerful chewer NO bone/antler/horn is a safe product as it posses a chocking hazard if cracked. If you're not sure about your dog, then monitor the pet closely after you give them any bone/antler to determine how long the product will remain safe for your pet.
Fourth, get this chew toy. Dogs like mine, that don't shred their toys, will love, yes love these split antlers. The marrow just falls off the bone in the first few minutes, which he loves. But the calcified outer part of the bone provides residue-free, odor-free chew time for weeks so it save money on chew toys, which I love. Eventually these antlers will become gnawed down to chocking hazards, but I find this takes about a month. Of course if you think your dog is boarder line to power, you should try the moose antler. I know it's pricey but it's you're best shot at getting your money's worth.

These Elk Splits are the perfect chew for any dog. They have no discernible odor to humans, yet my dog knew exactly what to do with it. Unlike commercially sold bones, this has no grease to mess up carpets or flooring. It does not splinter, so it is good for small or large dogs. These come not split for larger dogs, but I have found that the split antlers are best for my 20 pound puppy. He got his first split antler when he was only 5 pounds, and knew what to do with it, and loved it. Helped through the teething stage. Bought one for every room, and when he went after something, or me, to chew on, I would distract him with his antler. It worked! These are supposedly humanely "found" as deer and elk shed their antlers every year. I hope this is true, as you can't believe everything you read on the internet, but it does make sense! As they can make money doing nothing but finding cutting, and bagging these to sell. They aren't cheap, but they do last a long time. After the marrow has been chewed out, the antler can still be gnawed on, and will harmlessly flake off, and like bone, can be eaten. When the antler gets smaller, it should be replaced with a new one, as it could be swallowed whole in a smaller size. These have lasted for weeks! So the expense in my mind is well worth it. They do sell it by the weight of the dog, but use your common sense. A smaller one is not going to be any softer, than a larger one. The larger one will last longer than a smaller one, as long as it is not so large that the dog can't pick it up and carry it around. Hope these are around for a very long time.My dog is a strong chewer; he can go through an entire rawhide in one sitting. I've switched to antlers and love the durability. Depending on the brand, the antlers can last several weeks. I've tried different sizes, brands and styles (split, whole, slices).I'm not impressed with Chasing Our Tails Elk Splits Rack Snack. Compared to other similar products, it's smaller and is too easy to chew through. It only lasted a week, compared to 2-3 weeks for other brands.
My favorite is "Newts Chews Antler, Sliced Elk".
Please note each dog has their own "ideal" treat. This antler might be right for your dog, but just didn't work for mine.

I bought this for my two golden retrievers to share. I took the plastic off and laid it on the lawn. One sniffed it and walked away and the puppy licked it once then walked away. Neither would have anything to do with it. I had it out a few times afterwards and they wouldn't even go near it. When I put it away in the garage, I had it on a cardboard box and there was so much grease on it that it soaked thru the box right to the floor. Last week it went out in the garbage. I tend to buy this a lot, while expensive, they can last a long time, given the dog of course, but even then, my Doberman, continues to go back and chew a little bit more, so in the long run I save so much money vs. raw hide etc. And both my dogs love them. My little yorkie is a very picky eater and he gets tired of his food sometimes so I give some dinner party and he thinks he is getting something new to eat! I also add a sprinkle of water sometimes to make a gravy. Be sure and refrigerate after opening.Our dogs were being picky about their dry food. Since I have been using this, they can't get enough.
