These are the perfect size for our little toy poodle. Some are thicker than others and offer variety, but he loves them all. After his breakfast and playtime, he gets one to enjoy so we can enjoy our breakfast without interruptions. Took a while to teach Louie how to use this even though he is a HIGHLY food motivated cat. I let him go hungry for a while and then sat with him and would hit it to it would spill out the food. Now that he has gotten the hang of it, he loves it! I have other food balls, but I really like this one because it is infinitely adjustable I feed my cat EVO and the kibbles are very small. With this ball I can set the width just larger than one kibble size so he really has to go at it to get the food out. Previously Louie would gorge all his food at once, often so fast he would vomit now the same measured portion lasts hours. I have also filled it up with food and left for two days at a time it makes sure he uses effort to eat instead of just for convenience. Not sure she may need a vets approval for something stronger. Shes a big dog and doesnt get enough exercise. Thats my fault my job keeps me buzy. When she does go swimming which she loves , shes very sore the next day. For the most part it relieves her pain im sure.
