I bought this toy to use for agility training for my dogs. While this toy is motivational for my dogs and keeps their attention, it does not hold up. My dogs are not toy motivated and not aggressive tuggers or chewers. Within 2 weeks of light use, the toy was ripping at the seam where the black outline meets the colored parts. I did write the company and they gave me a free replacement. The toy comes with step by step instructions as to how to get your dog to recover the treats from the inside of the ball. The instructions were helpful and it only took 2 days for them to know how to use the ball.

Cloud Star's Tricky Trainers are bite-sized, palatable, chewable treats that are approximately 0.5 inches big. They come in three main flavors: cheddar, liver, and salmon. I sampled (well, JP, my dog, sampled) two flavors: cheddar and liver. These treats were perfect sized for putting into a Kong treat dispenser, and were generally palatable (JP finds them much more palatable then dry treats). I found the Tricky Trainers surprisingly more "dry" than most pocket-sized treats, however. In other words, they don't seem to be oily to touch, aren't excessively moist, and have a high anti-squish (i.e., firm) factor. This is beneficial if you're using them as true training treats to reward your dog (i.e., storing them in your pocket). Their con: I found the cheddar smell to be repulsive it has a really strong smell, so if you're cheese shy, avoid. Cheddar is the 5th ingredient (remember, ingredients are listed in descending order of predominance (from most to least). For the other two flavors, chicken liver and salmon are listed first. The other con: the number of calories per treat isn't listed, so we don't know exactly how "low fat" or "low calorie" they truly are. The final con: if you have a super picky puppy that you are trying to train (and are using these as food motivation rewards), these may not work as well as small pieces of hot dog or pieces of freeze-dried liver treats. When it comes to puppy training, finding a treat that your dog can't resist is imperative to get them to train correctly!

These products are listed as wheat and corn free, which is good if your dog has these specific food allergies. That said, if your dog doesn't have these specific allergies, not a big deal. The good news: all ingredients are natural, made in the USA, and the products contain no artificial favors or colors. Overall, a pretty good training treat!

My rescue dog is reactive and easily stressed. These treats are great for when he gets fixated on something (another dog in the distance, a person he doesn't like, etc) and I need to quickly get his attention. They get my dog to focus on me immediately and he will do anything for them.

They're also wonderful for obedience training in generalthey're small so you can feed a bunch of themand stinky enough to really pack a flavor punch. He has all three flavors (in chewy) but he seems to like the liver the most. They stink like a holy terror, but to a dog, they must smell great. I just need to put one near his nose and it gets his attention no matter how distracted he is.

My dog is pretty picky and she loves these treats. They're a perfect size for training and are easy to cut up smaller if you want (which I do for clicker training sessions). They don't dry out and while their smell is a little strong it's not overwhelming. I'd definitely recommend these!

Recently we spent $5000 on one dog $2000 on the other dog at the doggie dentist fixing broken teeth. Poor dog almost had an abscessed tooth and was in pain! Why? what does that have to do with this review? One word: CHEWING!!!! We were going with popular, allegedly healthy chews ... antlers, nylabones and bully sticks. $7000 later the dentist tells us they break the dogs' teeth! Rawhides? while my dog loves it, and it's ok w the dentist, it's a non-digestible product, so not so good in my mind.

And then I found these scappy snacks. Talk about happy happy all around! The dogs do a happy dance when they get these. I don't worry about vet bills from non-digestible products getting stuck because the dog swallowed too big of a hunk, or choking hazards, or dental bills. The dogs get happy chewing time because they can chew on them for a good while (yahoo, giving me peace), they have the same texture that the dentist approves of in rawhides, and they have good "stink" to the dogs which makes for wagging tails and doggy smiles all around.

given that these also have good products for the dogs' joints, I am so sold on these and a firm believer in Scappy snacks!!

First, the photo is not an accurate depiction of the product. Second, for the price and description I was expecting a chew that would last longer than an hour. Someone who saw this review suggested that I get Great Dog Happy joints. These seem to be the same thing, but cut smaller on a band saw. That will be my next purchase for them. When I wrote the review initially, I hadn't had time to observe how much they love these things, even as huge as they are.

My 4 cats Love the minced Turkey and minced Chicken best of all the Wellness canned products. Some cans, however, seem to have more rich, juicy looking gravy than other cans, which my cats love.

My main concern with this product is that Wellness has Carrageenan in the ingredients, which, I understand, is not good for cats. Fortunately it is in the lower half of the ingredients listed. I purchased this product for our large 5+ month old Bouvier puppy to help him through teething. A simple mixture of banana, peanut butter, and a bit of yogurt blended, poured in, and frozen for 2 hours provided a great distraction for him and (hopefully) made his mouth feel a bit better. The product also serves as a perfect vessel for Puppy Cake Red Velvet Cake Mix. From frozen chicken broth and veggies to carrot and sweet potato puree, there are many healthy and inexpensive home-made fillings that can be used for this treat holder.

As with all pet toys, your dog should be supervised while chewing this. Ours has yet to show signs of wear, but when it does it will be time for a replacement. I would not recommend using this as a chew toy. It's strong and durable, but it's no replacement for a heavy duty chew toy. Once the treats are gone swap it for something different.

These are pricey, but in my house, any other kind of bone or chew lasts several seconds. This bone was first purchased for a post-surgical dog who was stuck in a crate and was a vigorous chewer. It's been over a year and we still have it, in a household of multiple dogs! It's not even missing it's ends yet. No pieces come off, either, just tiny shavings that are harmless. Several of the dogs love it, so to have those dogs who normally destroy EVERYTHING in seconds, regardless of the "indestructible" label it may bear, be able to keep this over a year, well, that's amazing. One of the dogs who chews this destroyed an "escape proof" aluminum crate I paid $500 for...by bending and removing bars as thick as my finger. SERIOUS jaw strength, and yet he enjoys this bone and doesn't try to ruin it and eat it. Good deal.

FYI, the dogs that share it are 2 Pit Bulls and several working line German Shepherds...not talking about Lhasas and Goldens here.

I have two chi pups and 2 adult chihuahuas and 3 of 4 of them love them! They are large around unlike the skinny ones that even e pups can gnaw them down to fast and that scares me. These, however, because of their size (rawhides) last for days and when they get down to 2.5" or so I throw them out.

These are truly a lifesaver for me because they keep the puppies busy on and off meanwhile helping them teeth. My oldest chi loves these too, it is the chicken flavor I think because e other unflavored or even peanut butter flavor ones are laying around like they are dead to them!

My other older 6 yr old chihuahua has just started chewing on rawhides. She is a little princess and won't chew anything hard (she chews on soft fabrics like she is eating corn on the cob a lot) but she will chew on the small round rawhide sticks if they have been worn in. She started doing that after watching the puppies go to town on them! Glad bcuz she has bad kidneys we think because of her BUN is very high in labwork and she needs her teeth cleaned a lot so chewing on rawhides now may help cut the tarter down.

I like the fact they are made in Mexico and not China too....

But, I wish I could get a huge bag of these or several bags for a great price here on Amazon..but you really get a lot in the bag so a trip to the store will be ok.

Along with others that have reviewed these dog treats, my 2 Aussie LOVE them . But I noticed that more often than not , about an hour after enjoying one , my dog would vomit. These truly do leave small chaunks of the core in the dogs stomach, causing distress . I stopped feeding them after I saw this happen at home a couple times . Now I find on the internet that there is a lawsuit going on because some dogs can't vomit the pieces up , and they get stuck in the stomach or intestines , requiring surgery to relieve the pain. My dogs are 50 pounds and able to eat most anything , but they will not get another Pur-luv bone . Ever.
