My hamsters actually don't seem to care for the wood chews on this thing. However, we can unscrew the bottom and attach other chews and treats to it. My hamsters prefer the Ware Mineral Charm Chews. I put them on this Treat-K-Bob to keep them off the ground -more sanitary that way.

I don't know what the bell is there for other than looks. I hang it low to the ground so the hamster can reach the chews without climbing and the bell just sits on the floor of the cage. Even when I hang it high, the hamsters don't play with it.

The Treat-K-Bob is nifty for hanging other treats, but the chews it comes with are not exciting and the bell gets in the way.

I purchased these to have in my pet hamster's cage. I put apple wood sticks on them or small edible treats. Easy to refill and good for several different kinds of caged small pets.

My hampster always chews on her cage, even though i have wood blocks and twigs in her cage for her to chew, so I bought this thinking it would stop her. It doesn't. She does chew on this, but she still chews on her cage. It does stop her from chewing on her cage sometimes though which I am thankful for.

I bought three of these, I have four cages of chinchillas, and only one of them has retained the nut on the end that keeps it all together. We removed the bells, and the end nut got lost in the bedding never to be found again. the chins loved the chewing toys, we put on lava bites, wood, etc and it was a great thing until the nuts came off.

I bought this a year ago when my Golden had green eye goop and pink eyes for a few days. I called the vet and estimate for just testing him was over $100 so I decided to take a chance and ordered this stuff. It worked! His eyes cleared right up in about two days. I don't know what the cause of his eye issue was, but I do know it went away using this stuff. And it's natural, and that matters to me. The formula is concentrated and you have to dilute it per the instructions with boiling water. I found I was able to store it covered for a few days. Easy to apply, just dip a cotton ball in it and that will easily let you put drops into dogs eye. I have since used this every time the whites of either of my dogs eyes looks less than bright white, and it helps every time. The dogs don't even mind when I use it so I'm guessing it doesn't sting or anything. I am happy with this product.

This product seemed to at least lessen the discomfort on the eye, but it did nothing to rid the infection. I still ended up having to go to the vet for an antibiotic. Save your money and go to the vet first.

Sergeant's Vetscription Antimicrobial Wound Cream is the best remedy I've found for just about any doggie skin problem that I have run across. I've used it for years on multiple dogs and it's never failed me yet. It's creamy, not greasy or oily and doesn't have an offensive odor. Once it's been rubbed in thoroughly, you don't have to worry about the rugs or furniture. Sometimes it takes awhile to completely take care of the problem, but a little goes a long way and it has a long shelf life. I wish I could find it locally, but since I can't, it's worth the extra that it costs to order it online.

Ours is a rescue dog who is as finicky as we've ever seen... and his breath becomes a problem. Luckily he LOVES Yip Yaps! They are like candy to him and they do give temporary relief of his 'dog-breath'. And our order through Amazon was the least expensive (by far) way to get this product.

I was a bit skeptical when we first saw these in PetsMart. My dog is still young and has not yet experienced TRUE bad doggie breath, but I'm fighting a war before it begins. She absolutely loved it, and it made her breath smell just like fresh rosemary. Now anytime she is even in the deadest of sleep and she hears that tin jingle she comes running.

Also, I've noticed that it doesnt only fight the breath on the spot, but usually we give her 2 at a time, as treats for a trick or two, and we've noticed her breath smells great for atleast 2-3 days

Our dogs still love them and beg for them, but they don't do a thing for their breath. In the past the Yip Yaps were white and had a peppermint smell to them. And now they are brown and have a meaty smell. I really don't like the change that was made. But as I said our dogs still love them. I would no longer call them breath fresheners. If anything, they add to the bad breath.

Yip Yaps are difficult to find in our area; and when I do they are expensive. The price was a bit less than what I would pay if I could find and that included S&H. The order came very quickly and I had no problems with the seller. Actually got a discount card to use with my next order! Do these stink? YES. But do they work? ABSOLUTELY!! Our yellow labx lab numbers were so high, this was used as a last result (she'd had been on rymidal, which we were told could have negative effects on her liver over time.) Bella's ALT was 124 just above normal 4 months ago so I started her on these vitamins, 2 vitamins a day as instructed on the package, this was the only dietary modification I made. One month ago we took her levels again and her ALT level was 692, ultrasound negative, bile acid and pancreas studies normal. I wondered maybe the sharp increase ironically could be the liver vitamins so I stopped giving her them, and made no other changes. One month later, today, her levels were down to the 200s. Could it be from the vitamins? I started them and ALT increased, I stopped them and it decreased. Coincidence? I don't know but I am not giving her these vitamins again just to be safe. Before I started her on them I emailed Vetri-science to confirm the glycerin they use in the vitamins is not from China, as glycerin in China is made from a cheap poisonous berry that is treated to deactivate the toxins (many are hepatotoxic toxins). This Chinese glycerin could be the cause of the recent chicken/ham/duck treat fiasco that killed hundreds of dogs by liver failure and kidney failure that the FDA is investigating. These days you MUST check all dog food products made with glycerin and make sure the glycerin is not bought cheap from China. Anyways, vetri-science did not return any of my emails regarding the source of the glycerin they use which I thought was very rude since I spend so much money on their products. Anyone else notice an increase in ALT with these vitamins? The Vetri-Science probiotic supplements work great though and stopped my dogs diarhea and loose stools within 2 days of starting them.

As my title states, these 2 dog treat bones are not high quality (but really, you probably already knew that) and my dog only chewed on it twice. The first time only took a sliver off of the bone and then the second time only ate about 3/4 of an inch. It's now been almost 5 months and he has not touched it since. I am going to throw it away. Ugh.

Pro: It's a good size for a yorkie (7.8 pounds) to chew on occasionally.

Cons: ingredients wheat starch (potential allergen), powdered cellulose (harsh on bowels, could be crushed peanut hulls, possibly contains recycled cardboard, cheap filler), chicken powder (all the leftover chicken parts that human-grade meat factories toss and then grind up and cook fully then make into a powder such as tumors, diseased organs, bones, feathers, feet, beaks...), soy flour (potential allergen).

Dog owners beware! Although most dogs like these treats (and they are a good price for the amount you get), please use caution. Smokehouse, a chinese exporter, was involved in the massive contaminated treat and food recalls last year.

If you can't afford the healthier and safer free range treats (such as lamb ears, kneecaps, tendons, etc), you can instead find some great recipes to make your own dog snacks. Or buy a Kong and shove some doggie snacks in it, or smear a dab of natural peanut butter in it... it will keep your dog busy and is good brain stimulation.

If you absolutely must buy these Smokehouse treats, be sure to CHECK THE CONTAINER FOR BUGS. The last one I saw had some of the most disgusting gray beetle-looking bugs crawling into and around the treats in the jar. Also, keep your empty container (or at least the label) for a couple months in case your dog does get sick.

If you have a "gulper" please be VERY careful with this product!!! Please supervise your pets with this treat, as the pieces are VERY small and I can see may present a choking hazard or cause internal blockage for some dogs. I have a 14lb pooch who is a self regulator (ie. wont wolf down her food all at once, but graze here and there.) and have no issues with food or toys; meaning even if she has a nice juicy steak in her mouth, I can easily get it right out of her mouth with not even much of a protest. She also knows the leave it command, and will drop stuff for me to get away from her.

Despite those facts, I am still pretty leery of given her these..."just in case." But my dog is my baby... so she only gets it when I am right there with her and can supervise, and I make sure she is actually chewing them.

The variety is nice, and the smell isnt as bad as some bull's stick, or hooves or whatever on the market. Also, the ingredients are all natural, which is important to me.

However, I worry too much about the pieces being so small....so despite the fact that she likes 'em (she is a very picky eater.) This will probably be the one and only time I will purchase this product.

Well, these are certainly pieces of wood for animals to chew on. Big deal. I can just go pick up some contaminated wood outside, cover it in rubbing alcohol, and throw it in my oven. That cooks the germs right off. Animals don't need stupid shapes and colors for their chewables.

That's not my main problem with this product, however. These "wood treats" are specifically labeled as "fruit flavored". What a stinking lie! I tasted them myself. Do you know what they taste like? Wood. Just wood. Not even wood from a fruit-producing plant. Nope, this just has a distinctly boring wood flavor.

I advise you to save your money and avoid this bogus product.
