Used this product last winter. Held up well, heavy duty bowl with protected heavy cord. My blue heeler never offered to chew the bowl and her water was kept un-frozen even through several single digit nights. Would recommend for all dogs that have to stay out in low temps. The bowl never keep water completely liquid during really cold spells, (in the single digits) but certainly enough of the huge capacity was ample to supply water to a large dog. However, this is the 3rd season using it and apparently the last; the water was completely frozen over the morning after I plugged it in for the first time... temp got to only about 28 degrees. I use it for the wild birds when weather is freezing. I wish it were a little heavier construction easy to spill when carrying with water in it. I also would like a much longer cord. It works as advertised.

This bone is softer than the other Nylabones we've tried, and is by far the most attractive to Peppermint. You can actually see pieces of flavor embedded in the bone. She's an 8 pound Dachshund. She always works on the same end, and holds the other knob between her paws like she has fingers. She is able to eventually work off a chunk about the size of a half peanut at the largest. I'm so disappointed to say that my poor little dog had Diarrhea all night because of theses treats. As soon as I got them I gave her a few, playing, rewarding her for her tricks. At night fall and so on...she just wouldn't stop going poo......Poor thing! I realized then it was my fault for giving her these treats. My 4 months golden had diarrhea after consuming almost the entire bag of Cesar treats from training him, He never had any issues with the blue buffalo treats I used to give him. The reason I decided to try out these treats is because the blue buffola brand was not on sale. I also feed him blue buffalo food perhaps that has something to do with it. I was looking for a high quality dog food which is affordable for my two dogs. I liked the ingredient list as well as the nutrient content on this brand. I haven't really heard of the brand before but did a search on it and found some favorable reviews. My dogs really love it and it seems like the amount listed on the package to feed (based on weight) seems to satisfy them. They are not extremely active so I have to watch their weight. Also there seems to be not a lot of waste (yard clean-up) associated with the food which tells me it doesn't have tons of fillers. My dogs really seem to love this stuff, but we're still transitioning from a combination of Blue Buffalo Weigth Control and Purina Beyond. Not sure if they "love" it just because they're on diets and want more food or if they really enjoy the flavor :) I switched to this after reading several reviews, including the dogfoodadvisor.com 5 star rating. We needed a food that had fewer calories per cup so that we could try to give the dogs a little more quantity without increasing the total caloric intake. I was ready to stick with the Blue Buffalo Weight Control, but decided to go with this instead. No problems with the Blue Buffalo, they really seemed to like that too, just needed lower caloric density to help us achieve our weigh goals for the dogs. Each time I up the ratio of Premium Edge to the Blue Buffalo/Purina Beyond mix, their stool gets a little mushy but this is to be expected as you're adjusting your dogs diet. I expect it will be a full month before I've fully transitioned them to Premium Edge. I tried to find this at a local pet store and the best I could do was an offer to special order it for me. I searched online for 5 Star dog foods for my overweight lab who was beginning to have hip problems at only 4 years old. Vet said the weight must come off and for me to give him l/2 cup of food twice a day. That seemed just so little for such a huge dog (over l00 lbs) so I knew I had to have something with as much nutrition as possible. Ordered this and switched him gradually over to it. I use l/2 cup of this food and l/2 cup of no salt green beans so that it seems like he is getting more and it adds a little good carbohydrate. After l0 days he has stopped having so much trouble getting up, he looks slimmer already and he seems to feel better, has more energy. He still needs to lose a lot of weight but with this food I believe it can be done and I don't feel like I'm starving him as it is such good quality dog food. Well worth the price. ADDENDUM After a month on this food my lab's neck has reduced in size to the point where I could put a smaller collar on him and his body looks much trimmer. He used to have a huge double chin and that is gone. He is more agile and seems to feel a lot better than when he was so heavy. Cleaning up the yard is much easier now as his b.m.s are so much smaller. l0 MONTHS LATER: I had to switch him to yet a smaller collar two months ago. I can't believe how lean and muscular he is now and has been for a few months. The best I can figure, it took about 6 months for him to shed the weight and I was firm about what I would give him. I am now giving him l cup twice a day with the green beans and he stays very trim but he also has a lot more energy and is running, chasing frisbees so is using up the extra calories. My dachshund was at least 5-6 pounds overweight when we started him on this feed. He gained the extra weight gradually after he slipped a disc in his back (as this breed very commonly does) while jumping off the couch. Extra weight is dangerous for any dog, but especially so for dogs with long backs and even more so for those with previous injuries. Needless to say, he couldn't run very far or for very long without his back hurting, which was complicated by the extra weight, so it would have to be mostly diet that brought his weight down. So, with all that in mind, I clearly had to choose his food carefully. He has lost 5 pounds since November (5 months) and is continuing steadily with controlled caloric intake based on his daily activity. I highly recommend this feed for this particularly vicious combination of permanently limited activity and necessary weight loss. I also recommend the website I mentioned above that helped me choose it, as they are very easy to navigate as well as being highly informative. Now that he has lost most of the extra pounds, I can tell that his back is much healthier than when he had to carry all that excess weight around. I love this product! I run with a Chessie who's very well-behaved on the leash. The pockets are great for the house key, poop bags, treats, etc. The water bottle holder's kind of a joke. Can't really hold anything... I'd rather that it be just another pocket. The leash it come's with is a little longer than what I needed, but I could easily come up with another leash if it bothered me that greatly. Overall a great product! Not a great belt, the stitching requires a stronger thread. It is handy though and the water bottle holder is much more suited as a tennis ball holder instead. You do get what you pay for. It is comfortable and very handy for well trained dogs that let you lead and don't generate much pressure on the leash.
