I normally buy these in a pet store. I bought 4 bags because of the great pricing, but three of the bags so far, the puffs are SUPER hard and difficult to break. They are within the expiration date, but some pieces are way too hard to give to my dogs, who are small.

I have a Bull Mastiff and a Great Dane and the are asking me all the time for these treats. They will sit and look the the container and then back at me until I give them another one. They expect two so if I give them one they bug me until they get the second one. After that they will leave me along for a few hours before they are back for another. I think they know how to count because after four, they know I will not give them any more for the day. If I did not teach them this they would have eaten the whole container.I was looking for a cheap chicken flavor snack for my dog, and this works okay. This is an excellent training treat for every day. It's not a "high value" treat (used for more challenging training situations) nor is it so bland that it does not serve as an incentive. My 2 dogs love this treat. When my oldest (male) was younger, he would sit down, stand up, go down, roll over, etc. and do every trick in his repertoire before I even gave him a command whenever I pulled out a bag of the liver biscotti. My female also loves this but she's a little less silly. Also, this has never upset their stomachs nor caused allergic reactions. I finally had to find a place that sold this in bulk (i.e., 5 lbs. bags) since I was going to the store ALL the time to buy more of these. I also stuff their Kongs with a combo of these and their regular kibble and some pumpkin and freeze it. Five of my five dogs agree they'd rather munch liver biscotti than almost anything else. I pull out a treat and they come running.
