Of all the treat dispensing toys this one is by far the most difficult for my dogs, 55lb labradoodle and 55lb boxer poodle. They do not manipulate the rope in and out to maneuver the food out as intended by the product insert. they paw it around violently until a few kibbles work them selves out. I have the large one. Must use very small kibbles. Tiny, smaller than a pea. I had to buy puppy food to use in it as treats. On the plus side, very durable. I let them use it outside on the cement patio and the grass. I only use dry food. I think anything even remotely moist would make the rope disgusting. They have not destroyed the rope or the ball attachment at the top in the last month. I wish there was some way to remove the rope for intial use so that the hole at the top of the jar would be bigger and they could get the food out. Then make it more difficult later by putting the rope in.

We have had several of these now. our dog loves them to death and after about a year, we need a new one. I purchased a couple this time since I was having a hard time finding them in a bricks and mortar location near us. They are perfect, she's busily loving one right now...in fact, she pretty much only eats her meals out of the jug. Guess she likes the challenge compared to a dish.Buy Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug Dog Toy Size: Medium/Large Now
I cannot stress enough how great this company is. First off, their products are durable and keep my mutts happy and out of trouble. My dogs are super aggresive chewers and this thing has held up to hours of relentless gnawing. The one weak point for the entire toy is the rope. It is a snack to some dogs. Even with close supervision the rope will eventually be shredded and is not replaceable. We put two very small tennis balls to slow the treats down and it seems to work fine. I contacted customer service because I had heard rumors of a new rubber replacement rope (just a myth, but would be a great idea hint hint) and they sent me a whole new jug! This jug is made of hard plastic so if you have wood floors, invest in earplugs or rugs to buffer the sound. I've started using it to dispense my newer pups' whole food ration in it to keep her occupied and work off some energy. Great product, great company.Read Best Reviews of Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug Dog Toy Size: Medium/Large Here
