This is the perfect jacket for my dog, who is medium size with a very thick coat. We walk daily, and if it's raining we have a very wet coat for quite awhile. It fits well & is easily adjustable. My dog is 9 months old, and I wanted him to get used to this early. I gave him a treat and that distracted him long enough for me to clip on the coat and get it adjusted. He didn't pay any attention to it after we started walking, and it stayed out of the way while he did his business. I have him clipped every couple months, and I'm glad that we have something he can put on in cold or wet weather.
