This Liqui-Calm supplement really works great! My dog Riley has had two different types of anxiety related behavior problems and it has helped a lot with both.
First, since he is a "rescue" coming from the local animal shelter, he has totally bonded to me. That's really nice except that when I would have to leave him at home he would totally freak out! I could hear him howling and crying before I could even leave the driveway. And sometimes, especially if I would be gone for more than an hour or two, this separation anxiety would cause him to be really destructive. He would chew up all sorts of things in the house my shoes, the corner of our sofa, pillows, etc. It was really getting annoying and expensive!
I told my dad about the problem I was having with Riley and he suggested that I try "Liqui-Calm" by Perfect Pet. So, I found it and bought it here on Amazon and, WOW, what a difference. I now give it to him mixed with a little bit of wet dog food about 20-30 minutes before I have to go out and he seems like a totally new dog. It hasn't made him sleepy or changed his overall personality but it really chills him out. He still doesn't like it when I leave but he seems to accept the fact that I'm leaving and just goes about his normal business. I don't hear any howling anymore and, since I started using it, he hasn't chewed on anything inappropriate.
The second issue was that Riley was extremely frightened whenever a thunderstorm would roll through. He seemed to sense them long before I knew they were on their way. He would start pacing and whimpering and by the time the storm arrived he would be in a total state of panic. Now, however, when I know storms are in the forecast and I see Riley start to get a little anxious I give him his Liqui-Calm and the symptoms are really reduced. He seems happy to sit next to me no more pacing. And no more barking and crying every time he hears the thunder.
I am really happy that I found this product. I highly recommend it for anyone who has a dog that is easily stressed out.

I have been looking for something to calm my dog when we go on trips. She gets very nervous in the car. I didn't want to "drug" her, so I was looking for a healthy alternative and found Liqui-Calm. I read the ingredients list and it has only healthy natural vitamins and things that I would want to give my best friend.She is also spooked by loud noises like lightning storms. With the fireworks on July 4th and the summer lightning storms coming, I wanted to have Liqui-Calm on hand.First I would like to say that my dog likes this product he is a fussy eater and if he doesn't like something he will not eat it. My dog recently started having serious anxiety issues now that he is older, thunderstorms really bother him. I have started using this product and he has become noticeably calmer. I have used herbal remedies myself for years and know that they work. He has become a happier dog.Our dog is terrified by fireworks. Every July 4th is a nightmare. The Liqui-Calm soothed him without sending him into a complete stupor. He was fine the next day with no side effects. I also had him in a Thunder shirt. The combo really did the trick.We love this product! Its all natural and my dog will lick it right off the spoon so it tastes great too! He didn't want to go in his crate at night or be left alone but I started giving him Liqui-Calm and he was more relaxed and stopped whining when it is bedtime or I have to go to work. We are both less stressed and happier since trying Liqui-Calm :)
