I like using Amazon.com. It is convenient, wide-ranging, and often has very low prices.

HOWEVER,

When I checked for the above dog food on Amazon, it was priced at arpound $54...PLUS $20 SHIPPING = $74/34 lb bag.

My local Petsmart store sold me the ame size bag at $34.99!

Let's see...$35 or $74 ????? Hard to choose,I know, with only a 110% price diff, but I think you get the point.

AND... to Mr& Mrs Purina... WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE 40 & 50 pound bags? Prices/bag have increased but it is offset by smaller bags??? Oh yeah, I get it, just like Goldman Sachs is doing God's work, and AIG's survival is essential to the earth remaining in orbit!

PS: if anyone cares about my political views, I firmly believe the world (or at least the US, and hence goeth the world) would be a far better place if all those in Congress were replaced by Great Danes.

I am beyond delighted to find that I can order my dog's big bag of food from Amazon and have it delivered to my door. No more hauling his heavy bags. Purina Pro Plan is the food his breeder used and he seems to do well on it. This breeder has a long line of champion Danes that are long lived so Purina must have done something right with this food.

My *show* Great Dane has been raised on this and has done amazingly! I was never a huge fan of Purina, but my very reputable breeder I got my Great Dane puppy from had him on it when I got him. I tried switching him to other foods with no luck. He just plain does amazingly on Pro Plan. My sister has all 4 of her large dogs on lg breed Pro Plan and they love it. I was very happy to find the GIANT breed formula here on Amazon and have subscribed for it to be delivered to my door, free shipping, every month for only $35 per bag. I am very impressed and love this service AND product! Thank you!

Our 160 pound Great Dane does well on this mid-tier premium dog food. Good price for premium pet food. Not many dog foods have a diet for the Giant breeds. He likes it and I like the quality and the price!!
