This food is the best food you can get for $40 a bag! It is rated 5 and 6 stars on the dog food rating charts and that's because it is an excellent grain free high protien dog food. My Schnauzers are much better since they started eating this food-the itching and the ear infeections are GONE. They love the taste and I love the very high quality of the food. Some dogs do fine on corn. My dogs do not, and so if you want something like Blue Wilderness at a much lower cost-this is it! Make sure you change your dog over to this food slowly. It is so much richer than Pro Plan or Science Diet etc, that if you change them too fast they can get a tummy upset. Change them slowly and you will be glad you did.

My dog really enjoys this brand of food, and her "poop" seems a lot more solid and "normal" since I put her on it. It is not a cheap brand, but it is very good quality, and my dog seems to love it.

I like this dog food but sometimes the shipping is a little slow. Order it before you need it. Our dog is a 13 year old, extremely active, Jack Russell who is very hard to keep weight on. She has been on this dog food for 4 months and seems to be doing well. I mix one tablespoon of soft food with her meals to make it easier for her to chew.

I had samples of at least 10 different grain free's some they did not like , some gave them

diarrhea. But Earthborn, they like and good stool. My shi tzu's 11 and 12 now have been

suffering from shin allergies, on has seborreah really bad ! the other the yeast type oily

skin and coat. The Davis special shampoo's helped, but I wanted to try to control it

better than having to shampoo several times a week. I Use Earthborn, and then for

a change, every other day I use Earthborn (wetted down, makes awesome gravy,

and add the Sojo dehydrated (you have to re hydrate first) . They really love it this

way, I think getting older the dry is not tempting them enough.

It's been a month and what difference ! The baths are down to every two weeks, the

Seborreah covered his ears,neck,back and hind quarters is now down to just some

light scaling on his back. My greasy one with the allergy from yeast,she would be greasy

again 2 days after I bathed her, now she can go up to two weeks.

I have tried so many things in the last two years(their allergies seem to start and get bad around 10 years old).

There are a lot of good grain free's out there, but that have want to eat it and the Earthborn seems to be their favorite.

I recently took my dog off of his previous food after he developed a red, itchy, rash all over his skin. He would scratch and bite himself until he broke skin, even though he was flea-free and had no other infections present. After a vet visit he was diagnosed with food allergies. I quickly went home and checked the label on his dog food sure enough, wheat flour was one of the top three ingredients. I thought it was good food because it had no corn or soy, but wheat can be a problem for dogs too. So I took him off his old food and started him on Earthborn instead. After searching pretty thoroughly through the descriptions on DogFoodAdvisor, I settled on Earthborn Holistic because it strikes a good balance between quality and price.

My dog's ear and skin rash is slowly fading since I took him off the food that had wheat in it and switched him to the Earthborn Grain-Free line. He's doing very well on it. He no longer has soft stools and frequent bowel movements each day. There is less to pick up after because his digestive system isn't reacting to the grain. He isn't as itchy anymore and is doing great. This dog food also has probiotics and chelated minerals, which are found in a higher quality dog food. It smells good, even to me and usually I can't stand the smell of dry dog food. He eats it right up, compared to others we've tried. I highly recommend it.
