Archetype is the best dry raw food out there. It's truly non thermally processed, so the integrity of the ingredients/nutrients is maintained. The ingredients reflect everything that's good for your pets (meat, organs, bone, nutraceuticals, antioxidants, enzymes, probiotics, prebiotics) and none of the garbage that other companies include, such as sugary starches.

My girl has IBD, pancreatitis, and potential small cell lymphoma. She's very picky about what she will eat and she gobbles this stuff up and asks for more. It's one of the few foods I can get her to eat with a mission. She likes it and I think it makes her feel better.

I'd give it 5-stars but she goes through a bag a week... and at almost $17 a week the price is killing me. I also buy au juos and raw patties by another comapny, otherwise she'd go through more than 1 bag of archtype a week. Can't imagine feeding a dog this stuff... they eat so much more. I'm going broke feeding my kitty.

Also the bags aren't recyclable so more landfill waste. The company encourages you to find other uses for the bags but what am I going to do with 50+ bags annually? Seems unrealistic.

At the end of the day it's a very high quality food that my girl will eat. Nothing short of a miracle, in my book.

I found a different brand in our local pet store and my cat quickly grew tired of it. Wysong Archetype (and Epigen) is something she has gone crazy for from the first bag. This is one of the better deals I've found for it online.

My cat generally will eat just about anything. However, he turns into a total food snob when I give him this stuff! This is his favorite food, and he even asks for it by "name" (meaning, he has a kind of meow that he only makes when I take this bag out from the fridge). I've been transitioning him from a crappy dry food diet to a canned + raw food diet over the past year, and this stuff has been a lifesaver. There are some kinds of food I have that he didn't like to eat in the beginning, but as soon as I sprinkle a bit of this Archetype food on it, he'd gobble it down like it was a feast. He's also lost some weight during this transition (what I was hoping for, he was a bit overweight), has become more energetic + content, and overall, I'm very happy with how he's aging at this stage.

Wysong is a fantastic company, I'm very happy with all of the products I've ever tried, and this stuff is no exception (it's great)!

I used to feed Wysong, but it wasn't working for us. The packaging is great, the product smells great, and the pets love the flavor. However, I didn't love the expense and the extra ingredients as I like to keep it simple. We switched to "The Real Meat" freeze, dried, free-range beef and our little ones are doing very well on this. The cost is about 40% less than Archetype and it's 85% beef so that's a great deal (not paying for fruits, herbs, and veggies with questionable benefit). I like to keep it simple.
