Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Pedigree is a good canned food for giving your dogs a treat. My dog, Tucker, loves this stuff. He's gluten intolerant and the chicken and rice contains no wheat products. I didn't give the food a five because it is too low in protein and I feel dogs are better off getting dry food. It's better for their teeth and dry contains a much higher percentage of protein. That being said, it never hurts to treat your dog once in a while and this smells good and my dog loves it!

This is the first canned dog food, except for expensive Little Caesar, that they'll eat. Still, they hold out for table food as long as they can! My worry is that Pedigree has only 6-7% protein. Recommendation is 27-28%. Notably, the can does not say "nutritionally complete"!My dog loved this brand and flavor. However, beware of AMZN's packing/handling because I've received dented cans which broke seal making several of the cans in the package go bad. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I had requested this because I expected to get 24 cans as described. With 24 cans it would be possible to make an accurate evaluation of the product. I received only one of the small cans. My Dobie is a large one and comes in at around 100 pounds. One can of this Pedigree is not enough to make a meal so I mixed it in with a cup of his favorite dry food to make a full meal. He ate it all. When he finished licking the empty bowl, as was his usual custom, I said "Max, what did you think of the Pedigree?" He replied that I should not have mixed it in with the dry food if I wanted his opinion of just the Pedigree. Point well taken. Not having another can to sample means that his opinion as to whether this is maybe a good product on maybe not so much will remain unknown.
