I thought it might be a little smaller because it says "Small", but it was still too big for my scottie pup's mouth. So instead we put a rawhide through the center (there are holes on top and bottom) and create a new chew toy! Plus that way he has extra leverage for holding up his rawhide. Works out great!

I have a couple of heavy chewers so when a toy lasts more than 10 minutes I'm thrilled (2 Labradors). This is probably our 5th Orbee globe and we will be buying more as these wear out. The material is soft enough to stretch to slip a cookie in them, but hard enough to give them something to chew on. The ball itself is made of two layers. Some have the continents stuck on top of the oceans, some have the oceans stuck on top of the continents. The top layer whatever it is, does come off after a bit, but the inner balls hold together for quite a while. The ridges of the continents cause the ball to bounce erratically making them that much more fun. And even better, some of them have a slight minty smell. A nice change from the rubber smell.

My dogs are completely spoiled and won't play with a lot of the balls I bring home. This one is one of their favorites. The only other balls they love are old racquetballs, which keep getting lost. They hate the new ones, probably because of the rubber smell or taste. This one is a great ball that can withstand heavy chewing, which it gets on a daily basis. I also like that it is soft enough not to make loud noises on the wall when thrown. If you have a picky dog, give this ball a shot. We had one for years that rolled under the garage door that was never seen again, and this one is several months old. It's meant for older dogs, but my dogs that play with it are between 2-5 years old and weigh between 14-22 lbs. I have never put any treats inside. It seems like it would be messy.
