I have mixed feelings about these knotted rawhide bones. On the one hand, they're great for occupying a dog for a good hour or so (depending on the dog of course). I also like the thought of these bones helping to clean my dogs' teeth although I don't think that's what they're advertised for. My reason for giving them four stars instead of five is that I have to be watchful and take the remnants of the bone from my dogs when the remnant has been chewed down so that the whole remnant fits in the dog's mouth because it often gets stuck in the throat, making the dog gag and/or expel it. Plus, I don't think it would be very good for their stomachs to swallow that kind of remnant. So other than being watchful and vigilant about keeping an eye on the bone(s) after I give them to my dogs, they're a home run for keeping the dogs occupied and seemingly happy.
