I've never had a an attachable bowl for our crates, but with the new puppy she kept knocking over things during the crate training process, so bowls sitting in the bottom would be overturned when I got home leaving a nice mess and a wet puppy. I was looking at cheaper, non-collapsible bows. but they were all oddly deep or way too large for my purposes. So I purchased this bowl, and I love it!

The inner bowl part comes out for easy cleaning and easy filling. I take out the inner part to put water in, and to take away at night. Then the plastic piece left just flips up out of the way. It's not as cheap as other options, but it was definitely worth it.

Edit: I dropped my rating down a star. My puppy broke it after 2 weeks. I was very unhappy. For an already crate trained, calm dog it would be fine. However, my 4 month old pup often paws at the front of the crate and broke the plastic part.

I needed a good crate bowl that I could use daily. Unfortunately I have a dog I can't keep out of the kitty food so I needed a way to get her food off the floor and out of the dogs reach. This is perfect! I was able to attach it to a wire cookie rack and hang it on the wall next to the cat tower ( I attached a photo on the product images)! Food is now about 5 feet off the floor and kitty can sit comfortably on one of the upper levels of her tower to eat without having to worry about the dog slobbering in her bowl. It was a easy to attach and just as easy to pop the bowl out for cleaning and filling up with her favorite food! Great buy:)

This item is perfect for the kennel. The holder folds up if you don't want to use it, and the cup is the perfect size for my small dog. And it looks nice. I also purchased a travel Popware bowl that was just right; it came on a clip so it hooks to the side of the pet carrier and collapses flat. Product is great and it shipped quickly.
