These are well made. I have two older small breed dogs and bought these as an incentive to chew. I use Halo's Wild Salmon dry dog food (which I also buy from Amazon.com) and it won't stay in the "treat" space and the dogs refuse to play with them. It's a mess trying to put something soft in the open space, I didn't return them because it was my choice to try them. I think the concept is a good one.
