The Biscuit Buddy that was sent to me was NOT the type pictured. The style in the picture is made of a high quality, thick, durable material. The pouch that was sent to me is flimsy, thin, and has none of the awesome features that the pouch in the picture has (no zippered pocket, no locking clip).

I have returned this product and requested an exchange for the style of pouches that are pictured, or a refund. I will leave more feedback after the exchange/return has been completed. I hope the company does not let me down.

UDATE (3/16/2010):

Received my requested exchanged item, and to my extreme disappointment, it was exactly the same product I'd received the first time. BEWARE: the product pictured is NOT the product you will receive. The product the company sends is inferior and has none of the same features as the much nicer, higher quality Biscuit Buddy in the picture. I've now requested a complete REFUND from the company. Will purchace the Biscuit Buddy in the picture from a different website. Disappointed.

Pros:

Holds lots of treats, or treats and a tennis ball.

Flexible top seal closes well and is easy to use.

The Biscuit Buddy is attractive.

Cons:

Belt clip is flimsy and weak. You WILL lose your Biscuit Buddy if you rely on it.

Belt clip is riveted on, hard to replace with something stronger.

Belt loop clip is flimsy plastic and way too small. It took a lot of effort to get it on my Levi's belt loop, and even more effort to get it off.

Belt loop clip has to be destroyed to remove it for replacement with a bigger metal clip.

For the above reasons, I would not buy this again if this one were stolen. But it's good enough for the reasons on top for me not to trash it...yet.

This treat holder does have some nice features; drawstring closure for keeping the treats in ( & dog snouts out), little side zipper pocket which can hold a poo bag, small training clicker, & key. Safety clip to snap onto belt loop so you don't lose it when the utterly useless loose, wimpy clip falls off your belt.

of course, if you ever walk/work with/train your dog while wearing anything that DOESN'T have belt loops, you are (pardon the expression) screwed, & the Biscuit Buddy becomes ByeBye Buddy...& I'm SO glad I didn't have my car or house key in it when I walked on the beach this afternoon.

So if every single item of clothing you own has belt loops --in the right place-this is a great treat bag. If not, avoid this thing like the plague. (Ever walk the dog in sweat pants? Buy several replacements.) The clip is incredibly loose & wimpy & strictly for show; the bag falls off every time you bend over, bump it, jog, run, sneeze, or laugh hard.

btw, I just read some of the other reviews. I did not get mine from Amazon, but from a local retailer. I'm fairly certain I had the actual BB pictured here; it had the zip pocket & the fabric seemed fairly heavy duty, & I'm pretty sure the logo looked just like the ones in the pic. I cannot, of course, compare mine with those pictured, since by now either someone picked it up from the beach & is being aggravated by the stupid belt clip, or it's blown into the Pacific & some large fish is happily digesting the organic doggy treats which were in it (including some very expensive freeze dried goat heart....grrr).

So, the brand name "real" one has a lousy clip which (as another reviewer noted) is permanently affixed to the bag. I'm going to try another brand, as a treat pouch is VERY handy to have for teaching purposes.

I did not purchase this through Amazon, but bought it in a retail store. I really loved this item...at first. It has many great features like the multiple ways to attach the bag to a belt, the leash, etc., the zippered side pocket which is awesome, as well as the size. However, like some of the other reviewers have stated, the lining completely shredded after just a month of use. So it's useless now. This problem could be easily fixed if they changed the drawstring from the position they currently have it in (i.e. the middle of the lining) and added it along with an extra flap on the top. If they made this change, I might give it a 5 star review next time.
