There are dog foods then there is Purina Pro Plan. I used to use cheaper dry dog food but I thought my 11 year old American Eskimo needed an upgrade. I opened the bag and the aroma was enticing. I poured a bit into my dog's favorite bowl, stepped back and watch him go to town. My first impression was okay, he likes it but how does it make him feel. Well a few moments later I noticed he had much more energy. I decided to put the food to the test. I grabbed a frisbee and tossed it into our very spacious back yard. To my amazement he chased it down and snagged out of the air. I did this several more times and his performance was flawless. I started to notice a small crowd gathering. I decided to step it up a notch. I gave a few adults hula hoops that my children had left in the yard. I instructed them to hold the hoops out. He charged through them like a dog on a mission. At this point a formidable crowd was gathering and shouting "more, more, more...". I did not want to disappoint. I grabbed my daughter's skate board and signaled my dog to hop on. He positioned two feet on one side and pushed with his other two. This is when things really became amazing. He skate boarded down the street full speed to a neighbors half pipe. The crowed and I followed. What ensued will be imprinted in my mind forever. My dog began performing a series of skateboarding stunts that only seen on the X-Games. It was not long before the word got out and a local television station began taping this impromptu show. My life has never been the same since. We built a half pipe of our own in our backyard. I have a two year old puggle who devours pretty much everything in his path. Seriously, I could put a pile of asparagus down and he'll eat it up no problem. I bought him this blend because we use the Purina Pro Plan adult formula with chicken (and sometimes lamb) and he loves it, eats it right up. When I put this stuff down he just stares up at me like "what's this?" and yesterday for the first time in HIS LIFE left quite a bit in his bowl. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this to anyone. I feel like I'm forcing my dog to eat cardboard pellets.I stopped ordering this dog food because I was receiving the wrong formula. It was not the shredded blend weight management that was being sent.
