My stupid dog, after eating a whole athletic sock (which led to a surgical sock-ectomy) and now having a sensitive stomach, was on a diet of Pedigree Healthy Digestion and green beans (or weight). He'd been eating a lot of grass and vomiting on a regular basis (no sock involved), so we thought we'd try another/better food to see if it made a difference. He seems to be tolerating it wonderfully; no grass eating or vomiting, but time will tell.

This is great dog food, especially for those of us who have trouble feeding our dogs lamb, chicken, or red meat. I avoided this food for a long time because of the celebrity connection to Dick Van Patten of "Eight is Enough." For all I know he may not even own the company anymore, but he clearly associated with some knowledgeable people to produce this food. The ingredients are top grade and the calorie count is excellent: The fish has 323 calories, and the vege has 344 calories, per cup. This is important when you have any dog, but especially small dogs. My local independent pet store sells this for $13.00.

I needed a dog food to try & curb my little one from eating her own poop...not 100% but it's slowly working. She likes it. Since she is so small she has some trouble with the size but is getting more used to it and is eating more each day. Was skeptical about sweet potato curbing the "poop appeal" but am slowly thinking there might be something to it.

Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Dogs Foods are working for my allergy prone cockapoo. After many years of buying expensive hypoallergenic vet food that still caused gastrointestional problems for my dog...I was wondering if I would ever find a food that he could eat. I was feeding him boiled chicken and rice when I ran across this product line. It has been over a month now and he is doing very well. He is not vomiting and eating grass or having severe gas and bowel problems. His itching has dminished by at least 70% and he has a twinkle in his eyes again and I'm not pulling my hair out trying to find a solution! Now we will see how he does on this long term. Thank goodness there are some products designed for dogs with allergies that do work.
