My dog devoured this thing but it left behind little pieces on the floor. It seems to splinter (not dangerously) when he was eating it. I'd never seen rawhide do that. My dog loved it but I doubt I would buy it again.

My aggressive chewers (doxies) loved this. They started at the ends and happily and proudly gnawed off bits until they reached the knot, and then it became a challenge they have yet to fully defeat. I will buy more for sure.

This is a safe, high quality rawhide that allows my dogs to have something to chew where I don't worry about a choking hazard. Most rawhides become stringy, sloppy and wet and are a choking hazard. These are higher quality rawhide that breaks off in small pieces, never becomes slimy and the dogs love them. I won't buy any other rawhide. I'm delighted that Amazon now carries them with Prime shipping. My dogs are happy about that too!
