When I first opened the package, I was surprised these were not like the other freeze dried treats. They are flat and black and you break off pieces to give to them. I immediately thought that my dogs would not like these but they love them! I recommended to be a little careful and break them up and give them these when your there to watch them eat them especially for small dogs.

My dogs are really picky and are in love with these!

I tried the bravo dry turkey hearts and my dogs love it, decided to try this roasted strips, but the are hard as a rock, and I am afraid that this could be dangerous, they are sharp like a knife, maybe for bigger dogs could work, but I do not recommend for toys. I returned the product, but the seller never got back to me.

My pooches just can't get enough of this treat. I give it

to them as a snack and, because my dogs eat raw, I add it

to their food bowl every few meals (they don't like raw

liver, for some reason--strange!).

It's easy to break the strips up into small bits, which

makes the pooches think they're getting a whole lot of

treats at one time.

My furbaby has several food allergies and it's challenging to find treats that she can eat, that don't trigger her allergies to flare up and cause infections and rashes. At the suggestion of our vet, we've put her on a venison-only diet and removed all other proteins from her diet, including chicken, beef, peanut butter, soy, etc.

These treats are a bit rustic -they very clearly look like a stinky slice of freeze-dried deer liver. However, my dog goes NUTS for the smell of them and I don't find the smell too bad if I keep them in a sealed container or treat bag. The bites vary in size but are small enough that I can give her several during a training session and not worry about it upsetting her stomach.

Best of all, I know exactly what's in them and don't worry about additives or preservatives that are secretly making her sick!
