I just received it, and only tried to attach it to a generic brand water bottle, but it doesn't fit. My dog (who is medium in size) is quite used to drinking out of a small cup and honestly, what we used previously wasn't much bigger and we never filled it all the way.I would have preferred the screw cap to be on the bottom so that the cup stays upright, but the screw cap is in the cup so that the cup would be upside down on the bottle. Sharing water with my slobbering pup is not an option, so I'll be attaching this by way of belt since I can't fit it on my water bottle anyway.

I don't have one; I'll be upfront about that. But I saw these at a local pet store, and thought they were a really cool idea. You can't tell from this photo (look at Hagen's website for a better photo), but these are a small cup, not much wider than a standard buy-at-the-gas-station water bottle. You take the cap off the water bottle, and screw on this cap, instead. It then has a belt clip so you can carry it and the water hands-free. When the dog is thirsty, you unscrew the dogit, pour water in it, and put it on the ground for the dog to drink. When they're done, screw it back on the bottle as the cap, and carry on.My parents just rescued a dog, and I'm going to recommend this to them. We have a soft-sided travel "bowl", and it is so hard to keep clean, because debris and slobber get caught in the wrinkles of the bowl. Next time, I'm going with this.
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I don't have one, so don't have actual use experience with it.
