My dog loved playing with this toy, however it is very dangerous to your pets safety. The toy has a small hole at each end and is solid in the middle so when the dog chews on it, it creates suction that can pull your dogs tongue into the little hole at the end. The tongue then gets stuck in the toy. It happened to my dog and fortunately I was there to remove it which was very difficult. I had to cut it off without injuring the dog. The vet said that had I not been there to remove it, the dogs tongue would have become swollen inside of the toy and if it had remained on for any extended period, there was a good chance that the tongue would of had to been amputated. If you are buying chew toys, always make sure there are at least two holes in each side of the toy, which prevents suction pulling the tongue into the toy. This toy has two holes, however it is blocked by solid rubber in between. This item should be recalled, but there is no such thing for dog toys. Always be careful with what your dog plays with when you are not home. Beware of this item!

My Lab easily chewed the little nubs off of this toy. He loves it, but he cannot play with it anymore. The description says it can withstand lots of chewing without discoloring or losing the flavor, but that doesn't really matter if the toy can be chewed apart!

My dog loves these things almost as much as life itself! I have had a hard time finding enough of them in my area (they are tough but he is a POWER chewer). I was happy to find them available on Amazon for less than half the price I had been paying locally (on the rare occasions when any of the local merchants had any in stock).

I have a pit bull and she loves her chompion dog toy. In our household it is known as the pacifier. She loves chewing on her toy. I read a review about this toy and i was alarmed, something about the dog tongue getting stuck in the hole. I am thankful for that review. With any toy it is important to supervise. She really loves this toy. Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong size. I ordered a medium when I should have ordered a large. So I will be placing another order for my pit bull, Sierra. This is a great toy for chewers.

This is a great toy and seems like it will last for a long time. My teething German Shepherd puppy just doesn't like it. It's a great design but I guess it's not for him.

Other dogs love it so it will be given to the neighbors pug!
