Personally, I really like this brand. I would give many of their products 5 stars. The only reason I rate this 4 stars is because some of the products in here my pet doesn't like. The ingredients themselves I think are really healthy and good for your dog and this sampler pack certainly gives you the ability to test out a lot of the flavors before buying individual flavors. I also don't like the price and I think it is on the higher end of things. At the time I am writing this, it is ~$24 for a pack of 6 which makes $4 per ouch (each bag is 1 ounce). It is somewhat on the expensive end of things as 1 ounce doesn't come out to much.

I also found that a lot of their products aren't actually 1 ounce. For instance, if you weigh their products, you will get a lot more than 1 ounce of chicken, meanwhile something like turkey or lamb, you will get considerably less or what weighs less. I feel like what weight they state is more so the weight prior to freeze drying because I have received replacements on some of the complaints (not ordered from amazon) and it is the same in each case making me think that the weight is done before and not after the freeze drying process.

My maltese (1 year old) doesn't like the salmon. He likes everything else. I would suggest go for the lamb, turkey, and chicken. The grilled sirloin burgers are also really good, but not included in this sample pack

So in summary:

Pros:

good way to test out a lot of flavors

healthy and nutritious

yummy (for the most part)

Cons:

weight doesn't seem to be consistent with what they are listing

moderately expensive for a dog treat that gets eaten pretty quickly

These dog treats are diced up chunks of real meat that has been freeze dried. They are not hard, like dehydrated foods, but light and airy. They would break into smaller pieces easily if you wanted to, but average about a half an inch square in size, so even small dogs shouldn't have trouble with them. The bags are small, a bit larger than a sandwich baggie, but the sampler variety is nice so I can see which flavors my dog likes the best.
