A raisin treat made for ferrets is a horrible idea.

Yes ferrets love raisins, but raisins are basically sugar and they are dried fruit (ferrets are obligate carnivoresmeat eaters). Due to how short a ferret's digestive system is intestinal blockage can occur when fruit and sugary foods are eaten.

To top that off studies have shown that ferrets that are given raisins regularly often develop kidney disease or kidney failure.

Not a treat you want to be buying for your fuzzies.

Ferrets should not eat any sugary foods, including fruit. It is not good for their bodies. My ferret was just diagnosed with Insulinoma and have learned that treats like these contribute to this disease. Why a company would make treats for ferrets that are not good for them is beyond me.

This is my ferret's favorite treat and my friend says that it is her ferrets favorite as well. :) He turns his nose up at other treats that I try to give him....he holds out until I give him his banana raisin treats.

I received the 8in1 Ferretbites just fine. But I had also ordered some of the Yogies treats also. To my knowledge, since the back order reply I've not heard a word about the Yogies. I guess it doesn't make much difference now, Our ferret that liked the Yogies died yesterday. It is too bad though. She really liked them. You can figure out from todays date and look back and see when I put the order in for how long we had waited. I sure hope I don't hear anymore about the Yogies order.
