In my opinion, these are too big for a treat. They are about 2" in diameter, and I think they provide too much food to be used for treats unless your dog is gigantic. The dogs like the treat itself, but I find them hard to break when we are out walking. I favor very small treats because we use them frequently and a little tiny treat does the job just fine and doesn't provide too many calories. Just for reference the treat size I prefer for most uses is about the size of a raisin. For special treats, I like something about the size of a grape. My dogs are 75 pounds and 45 pounds.

These cookies are a little hard. All 3 of my GSDs love them. My 15 year old golden mix thinks it is too hard for him. The cookies smell so good that you think they are human cookies. Even my finicky vegetarian organic only husband said they look good and smell good. We've been giving our dogs these treats for years now. They smell sooooooo good and they're not too soft and not too hard! They have a perfect texture. We have 2 dogs that weigh 18 lbs each who share a biscuit. They are easy to crack in half or even in quarters for sharing. We also have a 30 lb dog who get's a whole biscuit at times. Since we give our fur babies a lot of treats....the ideal is 1/2 for the 30 lb female and 1/4 each for the two 18 lb males. All 3 dogs absolutely LOVE these and once you open up the package and smell them...you will too! Our fur babies have many allergies but these biscuits don't stir up ANY allergy's at all.
