Our Maltese is small weighing in at 8 pounds. We break them in half before we give a piece to her. The shapes of celery, carrots, and corn on the cob are quite cute. She can finish the half in less than five minutes. She does well on them; we offer half a piece to her once a week or once every two weeks. It'd be nice if the pieces came in smaller sizes, but we work with them.
