I gave these to my dogs and although they liked them, both dogs started hacking when they got to the end of them about an hour later. I took a look, and what the manufacturer is calling ground rawhide, and what is just below the pretty coating you see when they're in the package, is that awful hard glossy stuff that I would never want around my pets-the worst issue, though, is that the rawhide is not completely ground up. It includes a lot of 1/2" 1" bits that are just the right size for dogs to choke on. I cleared up all the remaining pieces and got rid of them before they did any real damage to my dogs. I had bought two packages of these and the second one is going back unopened. Shame on this company for slapping a pretty coating on this garbage and shame on me for getting sucked in.

I have a 4 month old puppy who is teething. She wants to chew on everything. I got these hoping that they would do what they claim, "keep your pet busy for hours". It delivered. The chews smell decent and do not stain the carpet. She loves them. She likes to chew the chicken and brown rice crispies layer first, then gnaw on the rawhide. This is my second order. She's a happy puppy.

This treaty goodie came in the mail and I was excited. I am a big fan or natural, raw and holistic type products for myself and my pets.

I am a strong believer that dogs need to chew to prevent them from being destructive. The minute I opened this package my dog ran up and patiently sat while I was looking at the treat and reading the package. No corn, soy or wheatthis is a great sign!

After I handed over his doggie bone he went to town. The outer coating is like a crunchy crust. He was able to nibble it off and I caught him chewing on it like corn on the cob. After he got the outer layer off all that was left is a pressed raw hide bone. The size wasn't much smaller than the original with outer coating intact.

I know my dog is a very active chewer, and he demolished one of these bones in less than 24hours. The 4" model might be too small for my 30lb Boston Terrier, but he loves it.

I am going to see if I can get some local pet stores to carry this item because my dog loves it and it doesn't stink up the house when he's chewing on it!

These are layered treats and my dog loved them. They made a mess but that's to be expected with dog bone treats.

My dogs really love this treat. The outside is some kind of coating and the inside bone is a pressed rawhide. It must retain some of the flavoring of the coating because they tend to chew on it more than regular pressed rawhide bones. Both my dogs are aggressive chewers so the coating doesn't last too long but the rawhide does.
