Josie is a stray and wolfs every meal down like she's been starved and finishes her food in less than a minute. I purchased the large after reading a great review saying a whole cup will fit in the large. I like the various levels and openings you can twist the product to dispense food. We received it today and it took her about 6 mins to eat. She may not like it so much but I have been highly amused and I'm glad she's doing something interactive. Thanks! Recommend getting the large if you intend to feed your mid-size and above dog with it.

Though it does take a little bit of focus to fill the toy up with kibble without unscrewing it entirely (often falls out the other side), this is a great way to keep my mastiff puppy engaged and keeps her from scarfing down her meals all at once. The puppy kibble falls out pretty easily, even when the toy is tightened down all the way, but I imagine that bigger bits will be perfect when she grows to be a little bigger. After several weeks of use, this thing seems plenty durable and is holding up fine. Very happy that I can just stick it in the dishwasher after use!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my dog. He won't play with it. I've tried showing him how to bat at it, rolled it around on the floor so he sees where the food comes out, practically stood on my head trying to get him interested. He wants the food/treats, but he won't play with this. He will stick his tongue in the hole and fish out the food and then tilt it the other direction and try to get more food from the other side. Once he's gotten all the food/treats he can by doing that, he's done. He won't bat at it or push it with his nose or anything. He's had other treat balls and puzzles that he liked, but he always manages to break them or the treats come out way too easy and he doesn't have to work for it. I thought this would be a good purchase because it's tough and adjustable so you can let a little bit or a lot out at a time. My dog just doesn't think it's that fun.
