I shopped around a little after purchasing this antler chew, and I really don't think this one was a good deal. It is about 6 inches long, as advertised, but pretty thin. Also my dog, who usually goes crazy for elk antlers, isn't really interested in chewing it. I recommend ordering from Grateful Shed Antler Chews instead.

This thing might be 5"-7" however the fact that its the size of a pencil round is beyond ridiculous. I spent $6 more on one for my larger dog and that was well worth the money, this little thing was worth about half I paid. Buyer beware, the photos shown are of their larger bones, they just use them with the smaller ones to make it seem like your getting your moneys worth!! There is no way a 40lb dog would get real use out of this, maybe a 5lb dog!! What a joke!!

I never give my therepy dogs any food product made overseas. I am alway concerned about lead and what ever else goes into products my dogs digest. I friend told me about elk antlers. I was very interested having read this was a natural product. I also wanted something that would be hard like a bone to help with oral care and reduce plaque. Well, my dogs love this! I got this one for my 25lb french bulldog. I even bought a bigger size one so he can chew his brains out! Unfortunately, after ONE day of playing, the product was COMPLETELY BROKEN/CHEWED UP IN PIECES. My understanding (and the reason for purchase) is that these are super hard and will not break easily! Very disappointing. What a waste of money!!!!
To be 100% fair, I have also bought Chasing Our Tails Elk Rack Snack, 100-Percent All Naturally Shed ElkAntler Chew, Large Size 7-Inch to 10-Inch, For up to 75# Dogs for my 50lb pitbull and that one is holding up much better than the other one for the frenchie.
Maybe my frenchie's elk rack was a low, bad quality product? ("lemon") Once it was broken up in pieces, it's a chocking hazard. BEWARE!

Our dog --an over-exuberant, constantly active 80-pound rescued Weimaraner LOVES this antler chew. Although the product description says up to 40-pound dogs, we get about two months of service from one of these, even in the face our dog's spirited chewing.
He is instantly attracted to them, and after he carries around for a while, he settles in for long periods of stationary chewing. When he does this, he's not chasing the cat, stealing trash, repositioning shoes or barking at anything.
Quiet fun for him means quiet fun for his pack...therefore, five stars.
