Im giving this toy only three stars because it is a good chew toy, however the squeaker inside is pretty obsolete. The toy is hard so alot of force is required to make the squeaker squeak. My 7lb Morkie does not have the jaw strength to make it squeak. I would imagine alot of puppies couldnt do it either. It also looses a star because with the squeaker inside you cant put a treat inside like with the original Kong toy.

I've bought 6 or 7 of these squeaker toys over the last few yrs for my jack russell. She loves them but half of them the squeaker doesn't work and, the ones that do don't work that long. I complained to Kong and got a deft ear to a girl idiot in customer relations.Buy Puppy KONG Squeaker - Small Now
The top of the squeaker was easy to break off and my beagle got it off in nearly a couple minutes. She still loves to chew on it though.Excellent toy!! My Daughter's dog loves this toy as he rolls it around the floor but beware the squeaker does not happen unless the dog has a very very strong jaw!! This toy will last forever but do not expect a sound !! Still worth the price and the purchase!
