My dog is allergic to everything and Wilderness is one of the only foods he can have. He loves these bites and they smell delicious. It's like I'm really give him chicken. We have a high energy, very large (65lb) 8 month old puppy who is a handful to train. As a scenthound, she'll do anything so long as it smells good. These products are perforated and can be torn down into roughly 8 smaller pieces. Smelly enough to keep her engaged, but not overpower the humans. Easy for a dog to eat on the run, so she's no distracted. Small enough to keep a few in the human's hands during training. Initially they were a bit different than we were expecting think 1in x 1in squares of pie dough thickness/consistency (albeit tougher dough). This is a very good dog treat for dogs with allergy issues. Molly is willing to eat this although she prefers the treats I cannot give her due to allergy issues. It is difficult to find treats/food that she likes. However, this one seems to agree with her very well.

3 out of 5 of the crazy wiener crew are allergic to you average proteins. (beef, pork...etc) We have to use hypoallergenic treats and I have found that this is a wonderful option. The ingredients are limited so we avoid breakouts, the price is very fair and because my dogs are small and each get 1/2 per serving*, they last a long time...especially in this big box! The cookies are easy to break and hold up being shuffled around in the treat jar. There is no overt fishy smell. These are a great option for your pets.(**don't forget that any treats are high in calories...it's equal to you eating a candy bar each time you give one!)

Here's our story: We have two really sweet dogs we raised from puppies a male Cocker Spaniel and a female King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, both about 4.5 years old. In the evenings we sit together for an hour or so (outside in good weather) while the dogs chew on 2-3 rawhides. They seem to "space out" in that time, content to be "with the pack." For years we could get Exer-Hides Rawhide Twists with Chicken Jerky. They were perfect. Both dogs ate the jerky, and then chewed down the rawhide, slowly and completely. Neither of our pups ever showed any distress or ill effects, but some folks complained that this product was dangerous and harmed their pets. Exer-Hides "chicken chewies," as our two knew them, are gone, alas!
We have been on a hunt for a replacement, and wanted to share our dogs' history to assist anyone in a similar situation. There are many, comparable products, but we have found none so far that gives our dogs the same experience. That said, here's how we rate Alpha Dog Duck Wrapped Rawhides: They almost fill the bill for us. While they are a bit expensive, the quality is great. The only drawback for our situation is that the rawhide portion is a bit too soft. Our critters just eat them up like a dog bone treat. They don't provide the prolonged "chewie" session we like. Yet, both our dogs like these very much!

I don't care much for the extra layer of plastic wrapping and only the outer wrap has the pre-cut indentation so it requires scissors but my 3 dogs love them just as much as the boots and Barkley chicken twists.

First Impression: The friendly folks over at "Exclusively Dog" heard about my website and sent me 5 of their products to test.
Let me just start off by saying that I Love how sweet all of these treats taste. Dad was/is considering trying one because they look and smell so much like human cookies. Plus the ingredients are very straight forward, they are probably healthier than most the stuff Mom eats... But there in lies the problem. Dad thinks that they are too sweet for a puppy of any age. The second ingredient in almost all of them is sugar. As we all know puppies have a hard time processing sugar, and just like humans can develop diabetes.
Conclusion: Your puppy is nearly guaranteed to LOVE the taste. However these should only be used as an occasional treat! If you were to feed your puppies these sugary sweet morsels every day, they would soon plump up. If you puppy is already overweight or does not exercise regularly, you may want to think twice. On the PRO side they are all natural, with no animal bi-products! 3 out of 4 paws, because Dad made me! If we were judging on taste alone they would be a 4.

My dog likes these chews, but goes through them pretty quickly. And I have to watch for a choking hazard on small easily broken apart smaller ones. Kyle is a 10 pound chihuahua and very strong chewer. The vet always comments his teeth look great and it is probably because of chew toys like these.

My dogs (2 Dachshunds, a Chihuahua and a French Bulldog) love these Cardinal Laboratories Pet Botanics Training Rewards, chicken flavor and their size in conjunction with their consistency (neither too moist, nor crumbly) makes them ideal for keeping in your pockets so that they are readily accessible when training your dog.

The primary ingredient is Pork Liver (chicken is 5th on the list see below). Pork Liver is a nutrient-rich organ which provides your dog with protein, fat and vitamin A. When I open the door to their room they run and get in the crates sometimes quicker than I can put their training rewards in.

How in the world they can ever label these as "Gluten Free" is beyond me because the 2nd ingredient is Barley Flour. Barley IS gluten! And the 9th ingredient is "Wheat Bran". These treats are NOT gluten-free as indicated on packaging. I sent a note to their marketing email address.Besides that, my toy poodle definitely loves them. But the 100% reason I bought them, is because it said gluten-free. I didn't read the ingredients until, later...when I put my glasses on! LOL.
