I've been giving my dog this food since she was a few months old. We just recently switched to the adult version. She is very healthy and I get compliments all the time about how wonderful she looks and how shiny her coat is (she's a chocolate lab). I tried a couple other foods before Bil-jac and they always gave her slightly runny stools and fouler gas. The gas is still there (she is a dog after all) but it's not as bad. First off, I am a member of BzzAgent, a product testing commuity and so I reeived a coupon for a free small bag.

I have 3 dogs. Two are seniors and one is a pup. We tried it on the two dogs outside first considering our indoor dog has an extremely sensitive stomach. The two outside loved it. Their bowl was empty an hour later when I walked back outside, which is a great sign. The brand is a reliable brand that actually tells you how much meat is in their product. The only downside is at my local store, a 6lb bag is almost $20. Even with the free coupon I still had to pay a couple of dollars and tax out of pocket.

Great purchase! There were no explanations in the instructions (at all) about how to assemble the wheels. I finally had to pry the side peg off the wheels and then insert it onto the spoke. Seemed a given once done but took a while to decide that it was what I needed to do. Just remember to do that when you're trying to figure out how to put the wheels on. I wrote to the company (from Amazon) from which I bought the stroller but they never answered me about the wheels. The zippers work well and I like having the clip on section inside to be a safety measure so that if the cat does pry open the zipper, she still can't get anywhere as she's attached to her leash. We have enjoyed getting out at night (we only go at night around the neighborhood...while our cats love getting out, we know it's kind of silly to stroll A CAT so we do it after it gets dark)!!!!!!! Happy with our purchase.

Once upon a time, there was a cartoon posted on our refrigerator that depicted a cat owner standing with feline food can in hand and looking down on the pet, which was staring skeptically at the food dish. The caption read: "The words you're searching for are 'Thank you'."

I don't know what happened to the cartoon. Perhaps it fell to the floor and one of our cats ate it and later coughed it up as part of a hairball.

We have three of the wretched creatures: Amanda, Sissy, and Rags. They're finicky eaters, and, moreover, their individual preferences are out of sync. A fair amount of left over wet, i.e. canned, food goes down the garbage disposal. (Dry food is generally less problematic from the standpoint of acceptance, but that's another story for another time. If Amanda fills an empty stomach on dry, she often throws it up. Last week, it was on the window sill and into the groove into which the open, vertically sliding window would come to rest when closed.)

To date, our best luck and that's an overstatement has been with the canned brand that provides the cats with an opportunity for fancy feasting. But, even then, that's only with some of the varieties. For instance, they generally don't like "flaked" or "minced", or "sliced." What may work on a good day is the "classic", "grilled", or "chunky." It's a crapshoot.

Recently, we purchased a couple of cans of MAX CAT at a pet specialty store. Surprisingly, all three of the beggars chowed it down to the glaze on the dish.

Since then, we've tried various flavor permutations of the adult recipes: lamb, turkey, chicken, liver, seafood, venison, duck, and salmon. Even one kitten recipe that fell into the basket by mistake (Chicken & Oceanfish Formula). All of them have been consumed with enthusiasm. We stand amazed; it's a new paradigm for the moment.

Looking at the labeling on three random flavors (Salmon, Savory Duck, Turkey & Chicken Liver), the ingredients common to all (and presumably the other varieties) are: chicken, potato starch, wheat gluten, pork plasma, natural flavors, salt, guar gum, sodium phosphate, calcium carbonate, potassium chloride, DL-methionine, taurine xanthine gum, ferrous sulfate, vitamin E supplement, choline chloride, zinc oxide, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), copper proteinate, manganous sulfate, niacin, d-calcium pantothenate, vitamin A supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, potassium iodide, vitamin B12 supplement, sodium selenite, folic acid, and biotin. I should try one on a cracker. (Of course, each individual flavor also contains the ingredient that defines it, like duck in the "savory duck.")

The label further states that the food is "formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles ..."

In case you didn't know, the AAFCO is the Association of American Feed Control Officials. According to its website:

"Although AAFCO has no regulatory authority, the Association provides a forum for the membership and industry representation to achieve three main goals:

* Ensure consumer protection

* Safeguarding the health of animals and humans

* Providing a level playing field of orderly commerce for the animal feed industry.

These goals are achieved by developing and implementing uniform and equitable laws, regulations, standards, definitions and enforcement policies for regulating the manufacture, distribution and sale of animal feeds resulting in safe, effective and useful feeds by promoting uniformity amongst member agencies."

In other words, the Pet Food Police.

An MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) exists between the AAFCO and the Food and Drug Administration. I guess a warm and fuzzy exchange of cards at Christmas just isn't enough.

Why, the AAFCO even has an annual meeting. I'll bet that's a debauch.

MAX CAT is manufactured by Nutro Products, Inc. of Franklin, TN. I wonder if they have a squirrel flavor for consumption by kitties living in the back woods.

We aren't so naive as to believe that one or more of the unholy trio won't ultimately max out on MAX CAT. Why, it could happen as soon as this evening. But, in the meantime and until we're forced back to square one, gratitude is due Nutro and MAX CAT foods.

These dehydrated duck strips are perfect for my two toy breed dogs who are not only picky eaters but suffer from allergies to most other treats. The dogs LOVE these they will do just about anything to get one. I cut them into smaller pieces to make them last longer. I have read all of the discussion about purchasing items from China it's obviously a concern. I have two dogs with immune disorders and they are very limited in their treat/food options can't have anything with grains or chicken (surprising how many dog foods that say chicken free still contain chicken fat) For the past month it has been almost impossible to purchase ducky jerky locally at any retain facilities all has seemed to be pulled. I have tried this product twice and my dogs haven't had any problems with. You know it's a balance with the extra cost of special care the love we have for our dogs and two big guys over 100 lbs that are treat trained. Shipped promptly and price is reasonable for marketplace.

This will fit a small animal. I am using it for a baby wallaby about 2 to 3 pounds. it will probably fit him until he is up to abotu 6 lbs. The animal will need to lay on it's back like it is in a hammock or upright on its back legs where it can hang it's front legs out the opening, so if your pet does not like that position, then try another bag. The zippers do not lock like the description says, but i have not had a problem. it is warm and snug. It is easy to sneak animals into places they may not be allowed with this bag as it just looks like a purse. I carry my wallaby everywhere, the doctors office, restaurants, shopping, no one has noticed an animal in my bag once! I wear it across one shoulder sling style and it stays in place pretty well while I am doing just about anything without getting in my way.

To be fair I should say that I bought the pouch for one puppy and then ended up with two, which the pouch is not designed for. I works ok, but I was not really impressed with it. It is a little too soft to keep its form. I would have preferred a slighter stiffer wall.

I have a 3-4 lb Chihuahua puppy. This is the third bag I have bought and the first one that she seems to enjoy being in. I have had a couple of the "purse" types which were made more like a handbag and were rather stiff. She just didn't want to be in them. With this bag, I think she likes it because it is soft and warm as well as the fact that she is able to sit in a more natural position while being able to see out. The bag also hangs close to your body so it makes the pup feel secure. An added bonus I have found for this bag is that I can secure her in it (it has a little clip inside for your dog's harness/collar etc) and hang it from my bucket seat in my car and it functions as a "booster" seat for her. I would say this bag will work for her as long as she doesn't get more than twice the size she is now. I would buy this bag again, and I hope they will make some in the future that are just a little bit bigger.

Our greyhound absolutely loves these bones! Even though it's designed to clean her teeth, I think she plans her day around the opportunity to chew on this luscious bone. She knows she gets the bone after she finishes her dinner. I think she would eat sawdust to get to this bone! Like the original Coke recipe, does it have Cocaine in it? I bought this bone for our 8 month old schnoodle. He loved it, and ate all of the inside 'meat' within two days. True, he shouldn't have been left to eat it so quickly but he also shouldn't have gotten sick. The day after he started eating this bone, he developed diarrhea with some blood for a couple of days. After a week, he is still having loose stool and yesterday he vomited twice. Otherwise, he has been eating his food and drinking water as usual and is playing like he always does so we have been trying to wait for his system to clear up on its own. Another couple of days of these symptoms and we'll be taking him to the vet. Btw, I did a google search on the Dingo brand for any cases of puppies/dogs getting sick and I found multiple hits where people were talking about their dog having the same reaction as ours did. I also found out that there was a recall on another type of Dingo treat 1 year ago. Please look for another brand of bones for your pet, better to be safe then sorry.

If you've got a chewer, this is the product for your dog. My puppy goes through two of these per day. She just loves them and they don't upset her little tummy. She carries it around in her mouth and can sit for a couple of hours quietly chewing. These have saved a couple of pairs of house slippers...!

My rabbits absolutely love this hay.

If you have used Kaytee hay before, then the hay itself is similar. It has always been green and just barely crunchy if at all; always a good quality hay. It is cut in short pieces ranging from approximately 4" 6". This short cut make in easier for me to handle without spilling hay all over the place. The shorter cuts also make it easier to get out of the bag without pulling half the bag out.

The dust in the package is also minimal. I have encountered other hays which contain a large amount of dust and make me feel like I am paying for dust instead of hay.

The only reason I took 1 star off is the amount of cranberries in the product is not what it seems. The dried cranberries always appear to be placed along the window in the package, but there are very few, if any, mixed in througout the product itself.

But, that being said, the hay has to absorb the cranberry smell. My rabbits love cranberries and they attack this hay like no other hay I have tried.

Despite the limited cranberry content, I still highly recommend this product, but just don't expect there to be gobs of cranberries in the package.

I ordered a box of these a while back from Amazon and my Labrador absolutely loved them and since i was starting to run low i decided to come back and reorder some. I tend to favor ordering from vendors that offer Prime shipping since i have the membership but this time i decided to order from PetCo.

I compared the prices from other vendors even though Amazon had lowered their price on this to 36$ compared to 59$ when i first bought them and i was shocked to see PetCo offering these for 6.99$ with 6$ shipping!

So i figured that's a steal for these bones and even though my logic kept saying there must be something wrong with the advertisement i did not want to believe it so silly me went ahead and ordered a bunch only to get upset when i received them and realized a "SUPER bargain" was only an illusion.

I contacted PetCo and they were very polite and helped out right away with the situation so overall even though it was upsetting i didn't find the jackpot of dog bones at least everyone was nice enough to help out and solve this confusion.

Either than that i absolutely LOVE the way Merrick bones make my baby girl so happy and excited every time its time for a new so i will definitely not stop buying them just because of this hick-up.

Dog owners beware! Although most dogs like these treats (and they are a good price for the amount you get), please use caution. Smokehouse, a chinese exporter, was involved in the massive contaminated treat and food recalls last year.

If you can't afford the healthier and safer free range treats (such as lamb ears, kneecaps, tendons, etc), you can instead find some great recipes to make your own dog snacks. Or buy a Kong and shove some doggie snacks in it, or smear a dab of natural peanut butter in it... it will keep your dog busy and is good brain stimulation.

If you absolutely must buy these Smokehouse treats, be sure to CHECK THE CONTAINER FOR BUGS. The last one I saw had some of the most disgusting gray beetle-looking bugs crawling into and around the treats in the jar. Also, keep your empty container (or at least the label) for a couple months in case your dog does get sick.

If you have a "gulper" please be VERY careful with this product!!! Please supervise your pets with this treat, as the pieces are VERY small and I can see may present a choking hazard or cause internal blockage for some dogs. I have a 14lb pooch who is a self regulator (ie. wont wolf down her food all at once, but graze here and there.) and have no issues with food or toys; meaning even if she has a nice juicy steak in her mouth, I can easily get it right out of her mouth with not even much of a protest. She also knows the leave it command, and will drop stuff for me to get away from her.

Despite those facts, I am still pretty leery of given her these..."just in case." But my dog is my baby... so she only gets it when I am right there with her and can supervise, and I make sure she is actually chewing them.

The variety is nice, and the smell isnt as bad as some bull's stick, or hooves or whatever on the market. Also, the ingredients are all natural, which is important to me.

However, I worry too much about the pieces being so small....so despite the fact that she likes 'em (she is a very picky eater.) This will probably be the one and only time I will purchase this product.

I was happy to find Stella & Chewy's products on Amazon. These are one flavor my lil guy hadn't tried. Well he loved as well as all of their products. He acts like its crack instead of food. It was introduced to me by a lovely lady who swears by this with her own pets. When I told her about how much my lil guy loved this she said everyone she meets that uses this companys products says the same thing ( my dog acts like its crack ).
