This will fit a small animal. I am using it for a baby wallaby about 2 to 3 pounds. it will probably fit him until he is up to abotu 6 lbs. The animal will need to lay on it's back like it is in a hammock or upright on its back legs where it can hang it's front legs out the opening, so if your pet does not like that position, then try another bag. The zippers do not lock like the description says, but i have not had a problem. it is warm and snug. It is easy to sneak animals into places they may not be allowed with this bag as it just looks like a purse. I carry my wallaby everywhere, the doctors office, restaurants, shopping, no one has noticed an animal in my bag once! I wear it across one shoulder sling style and it stays in place pretty well while I am doing just about anything without getting in my way.

To be fair I should say that I bought the pouch for one puppy and then ended up with two, which the pouch is not designed for. I works ok, but I was not really impressed with it. It is a little too soft to keep its form. I would have preferred a slighter stiffer wall.

I have a 3-4 lb Chihuahua puppy. This is the third bag I have bought and the first one that she seems to enjoy being in. I have had a couple of the "purse" types which were made more like a handbag and were rather stiff. She just didn't want to be in them. With this bag, I think she likes it because it is soft and warm as well as the fact that she is able to sit in a more natural position while being able to see out. The bag also hangs close to your body so it makes the pup feel secure. An added bonus I have found for this bag is that I can secure her in it (it has a little clip inside for your dog's harness/collar etc) and hang it from my bucket seat in my car and it functions as a "booster" seat for her. I would say this bag will work for her as long as she doesn't get more than twice the size she is now. I would buy this bag again, and I hope they will make some in the future that are just a little bit bigger.

To small for my 5lb Yorkie otherwise I would love it. Nice feel and look like the way it goes around the shoulder.

The carrier is just the right size. I like the contour shape. Other carriers have too much bulk. This one is comfortable and attractive. My dog is happy with it also.
