I'm posting the same review as the one I wrote for the regular version of this product. I can't say enough about this chew! My dog was sick for 6 months last year, and hospitalized twice. Her food was changed 4 times, before they figured out she was allergic to just about every kind of meat! What is a dog to do??? There wasn't anything out there that she could chew on (that she liked). She wouldn't touch non-food toy chews, so she took to finding paper(or books) and chewing/shredding it whenever she could get away with it. I was going out of my head! Sam's Yams was a God-send! She loves them and can't wait to get one. She gets so excited when she knows I'm getting one for her, and then can't find a place to chew it...it's funny, she circles the house looking for a good hide-out, afraid someone will take it from her. The best part is...they aren't making her sick! I highly recommend these, as well as the regular Veggie Chew version of the chew. My dog is a Cavapoo, the size of a Cocker, and it takes her about 5-10 minutes to polish one off. That is the only downer...wish it lasted longer. But hey, beggers can't be choosers!!

I have a six year old Golden Retriever with an extremely delicate digestive system. Recently she bled internally after chewing a rawhide. Needless to say, once I calmed my guilt, I had to find a healthy alternatve because she loved to chew on cheweeze rawhides as a treat. (My Vet told me rawhides can be extremely dangerous for some dogs.)
I knew she liked sweet potato, so when I discovered Sam's Yams, I figured, why not give them a try? The result, she absolutely loves them!!! I have to keep reordering 3 bags at a time because she barks at the cabinet we keep them in until I give her another.
Sam's Yams is such a wonderful and healthy alternative to rawhide. It is also a low fat treat, which is wonderful for breeds that have a tendency to put weight on.
I cannot say enough about this product. My dog loves them, my Vet approves and that makes me a very happy owner.
They are sliced in different sizes for small, medium and large dogs. If your dogs love to chew, why not give them a try?

I have a dog with what we believe is an allergy to chicken. These are the best treats for her, she loves them and I searched and searched for the best price. These are $16 in the pet stores! Found them for $8 using an Amazon provider. She is happy chomping away on these while the other dogs eat chicken treats.

All of the Sams Yams products are great, and if you have a dog with allergies, a sensitive GI tract or other issues, consider this as a treat. Made only of dehydrated sweet potato, this is a great treat/chew and has the added benefit of allowing your dog to maintain 'regularity' albeit with a bit of an orange color! The Big Boyz version of this treat is about twice as thick as the regular chews and a great choice for larger dogs. One warning: despite what the bag says, rugs will get a lovely orange hue after your pal has eaten his treat on it but it will wash out--serve on your dogs bed for best results!

My dog has many food allergies so she is not able to chew on most dog bones. This product is great because I can give them to her without her skin breaking out into a rash. I rated these a 4 instead of a 5 because I wish they lasted longer. She loves the taste and will gobble them up in a minute or two. Still worth buying though
